shoutouts to recording at 4am instead of during the day like a normal person so I apologise if I sound tired as hell but hey, I hope this helps people out!
BoxeR-King Thanks for the Anti Ling Guide, it really helps a lot. Well ofcourse your other King tutorial videos, I've been improving since i watched all your tutorials. Thanks man, keep up the good work! Go for 1mil!
As a Xiaoyu main instead of a King main, watching this video was informative; it gave me extra insight on the things that I may have taken for granted while fighting as her (though I try my best to at least play smart with her and not just abuse 'go-to' moves all the time), and now I have to be even more careful, just in case my next opponent (not just King) actually recognizes some of her better attacks and punishes them accordingly. Ultimately, it's up to the opponent to have the knowledge and execution to stop Xiao's more tricky tactics to make all of this a factor, but then again, that's the whole concept of (good) fighting games as a whole; waging risks and reward in every situation. "Use it until they can prove they can stop it, then plan ahead just in case they DO prove it." Very nice video.
Thanks for the video! I should note however that the section covering anti AoP is somewhat lacking/misleading since most decent Lings will precede the AoP with a brief side-step to the right. A typical situation in the context of the King-Ling matchup is whenever King lands a 10f or 12f punisher: King will recover in +5f and Ling will immediately ssr~AoP. If King attempts to buffer any mid poke it will whiff-this includes moves such as df+1; df+2; f+3; f+4 etc. Even lows such as db+3; d+3; df+4 will whiff with certain timings. The only consistent (directly bufferable) moves that will connect in this situation are either a d+4 low poke or a crouch-throw. To use any other tool you must perform realignment with movement such as a dash or sidetep, but by doing this you are obviously giving up your frame advantage. Since canned d+4 and crouch-throw responses are too risky and King is missing a quick safe mid to prevent Ling from transitioning, it is essential for King to be patient and just opt to sacrifice the momentum to move defensively after frame advantage against Ling.
Aaaay! Some really good stuff! I didn't even know stuff that Ling had in first half of the video. There's almoast no Ling players here online and most of them are bad and you can't really learn snything off them. This awsome, thank you my man! I think you should lower the music and sound effects of the game about 5-7% i would say. So we could hear your voice more clearly.
Omg b,f+1+2 on the roll is awesome, I ate this move from ling way too much. Cool thing is that b is already buffered since you are blocking. Nice strat.
Request: Please make a combo video on Geese's stage. There are videos of people pulling off Kazuya's, Bryan's, Geese's crazy damage combos in that stage. I'm waiting for King. Thanks!
Awesome guide, online Ling players don't stand a chance !!! As a sidenote, I think that writing stuff on video could still be useful to summarize a concept, so don't feel obliged to ditch that tool completely just because you can use a mic now. Keep up the good work 💪
claudio fasanaro unfortunately i didn't get time to write up text so i apologise, i didn't forget. I'll put a document in the description soon for the notes i covered.
I finally get to hear my senpai's voice! lol Thx for all the good king tutorials lol I'm pretty my king would be garbage if it weren't for your videos.
Started playing tekken a year ago? Shittt how long did it take to learn kings wavedash???? Your king is legit so good for only a year. Mustve been alot of hard work goooooodd shittt
Jam Z thank you! I didn't really practice the wavedash that much. A few times a month until my hand understood the concept properly. I'm also left handed which might give me a bit of an advantage too with execution
Make Ling honest= stop all her good moves. Make King honest: crush all his highs and AOP D 1+2 launch all his throw attempts, especially the plus on block setups. UwU
u/f 1+2 against ling guys, i cannot express how underrated that move is against any character that likes to crush alot, particularly if they like to stance and whiff from a distance for a set up
Nice video. Might have been better to show these against an actual xiaoyu player who would present possible responses to your counters. Best way for countering ling i believe is to play as her for some time yourself else you'd always be overwhelmed.
Ishaq Khan the options i present are guaranteed to occur rather then theory crafting a what if scenario. I think roundtable discussions between mains would be sick to have, a podcast or something
BoxeR-King that'd be great. I wanted to try a duck during aop against df1,2 and f3,1+2 but i re watched the video and it seems like u already have that covered. I'm impressed 👍. It seems like i have a lot to learn. Do u play with ling urself?

DeNice1776 I'm happy to hear a Ling player was able to take something away from this video :)

Do you often play in tournaments? I’m entering one soon, to play King. Any tips?
also, fuck Ling
fat gotenks try your best to stay calm and keep the nerves down!
I really liked the backturned punish , keep it up
Are those really confirmed punishes? I don't see the "Punish" word on the left side of the screen
Again, Ling bleats her distress as she is seized by rough jaguar hands. Thank you, boxer. :)

Affan Khalid it's extremely hard. I'm trying my best to work something out too!
BoxeR-King Appreciated.
Hello, I have recorded a 127 dmg juggle on the geese stage to my channel.
You can get ideas from that and make your own @Affan Khalid
Ayy! You got a mic! Hope to see more of you playing too!
Nara Taulu soon I'll be streaming :) just waiting to hear back from Internet cafe that everything is set up!

I finally get to hear my senpai's voice! lol Thx for all the good king tutorials lol I'm pretty my king would be garbage if it weren't for your videos.

Jean Matheus I'll get around to them!

Sir can you teach me how to wavedash on king?
he has a video on it but u need allot practice to pull it off consitently
Ling and Eddy doesn't even come close to Steve, actually.
