- One of the most beautiful villages in France
Since 1981, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie has been ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages in France. Church, ramparts, chapels, aqueduct, fountains, alliances of water and stone, pastel tones of tiles and tufa shape a homogeneous and living architectural ensemble. The sweetness of life that emanates from it naturally encourages us to respect and value this place, to discover it and protect it. The work of the land, perpetrated for centuries, is the link between the history and the future of the village.
Authentic and alive
Today, Moustiers has about 700 inhabitants. The heart of its economy revolves around tourism and the pottery tradition. The capacity of reception in the municipality is important. In addition to 750 camping pitches and a holiday village, 130 hotel rooms in the village center or on the outskirts, around twenty gîtes and guest rooms and more than 50 furnished apartments, it is easy to discover the local marvels beyond a furtive crossing. The various services will satisfy all desires and all budgets.
On the retail side, artists' and craftsmen's stalls rub shoulders with local services.
On the food side, around twenty restaurants satisfy gourmets and gourmets, lovers of refined gastronomy, brasseries or local cuisine.
Moustiers is also located on the territory of the UNESCO Geopark of Haute-Provence. This UNESCO-listed nature reserve covers 60 towns in the Alpes de Haute-Provence department. Many natural and geological sites allow you to discover the last 300 million years of Earth's history.

Yes in the south of France you can find yet some of those beautiful villages. Springs are the moments to visit them...especially in june

Un musée en extérieur, entrez dans l’église du village, on s’y sent bien. Au détour d’une ruelle, un pot de fleur sur la margelle d’une fenêtre avec des …encolies dont une de La montagne de Lure ( j’en ai sur notre terrain ). A voir l’église de la fertilité, sur les hauteurs. Peut-être des ondes favorables. Très belle vidéo, merci à tous qui ont fait des efforts pour rendre ce village si attractif.
I went there once and stayed a few days, wonderful place, highly recommend you walk around the old buildings and gardens. Go mid May to mid June, springtime is best, green and flowers everywhere,

Конечно,я бы тоже хотела жить здесь,я из России и мы очень любим Францию.Всем жителям этой деревни самые наилучшие пожелания в жизни,здоровья и много радости.А моей самой большой радостью было бы посещение этих мест.
Россия тоже очень красивая, только по своему. Европа какая-то ми-ми-мишная. Узенькие улочки, вся мощенная, интересно они пользуются ставнями, они у них практически в каждом доме. В этой деревеньке гористая местность и они красива вписались в ланшафт, а горы это всегда красиво.
Мария, я желаю вам и вашему населённому пункту процветания. Надеюсь, что жители вашей местности - патриоты и могут выйти на субботник, при вести в порядок улицы, озеленить свои дворы, очистить зоны отдыха ( леса, берег реки, озера) от мусора. Нужно сделать так, чтобы нам завидовали.

Я сейчас приводила в порядок участок земли в нашем доме.Посадила цветы, кустарник, но ещё надо там поработать.Этим летом уже будут на нем цвести мои любимы пионы и флоксы , ромашки, гортензия, жасмин. А мне приятно, что это я сама посадила , что будет пусть не так красиво как в деревне французской, но будет радовать глаз. И другим будет радостно.

Stunning scenery! Wow! I could definitely spend thousands of dollars on pottery and gourmet meals in Moustiers Sainte-Marie! I just love how people put potted plants and greenery outside their doors. There is so much beauty and whimsical fountains and narrow streets and hidden little alleys everywhere.
