Since this is the only place I could really brag about it... ...I got the Skull Duggery wallpaper from getting 10K points + winning on Speed Racer: Demon on Wheels ;) Took me a long time, though! Lots of trial and error! The Wii game was also amazing! Since it's in my top favorite franchises, I really don't want to see it die. It's so unique and full of character, and it doesn't take itself too seriously- just seriously enough, which is refreshing. As racing now is as big as it was in the 2000s, I think it's poised for a comeback.
@@machgogogoclips415 Hell ya. With character select and a realistic battle system with customizable cars and multiplayer thats true to the show and manga would be dope. They could even do battle scenes where your on foot and use guns and other vehicles. Ill never forget when speed killed that guy in a helicopter on foot.
I remember playing the arcade game in the 90s, when i was like 7-8 years old. It was very hard but something about the speedy graphics made it appealing to me.
Man, I remember figuring out how to play Demon On Wheels when I must have been like 4 or 5 years old, pretty sure I figured out how to play it on my own as well. I feel incredibly lucky to have experienced playing that as it really jumpstarted my love for racing games and Speed Racer as a whole
Thank you so much for your support! I mentioned that game briefly at 5:18, but didn't get into it as I didn't feel like there was much to say about it. Shockwave games have a special place in my heart though!
I remember getting to play that cabinet arcade game when I was a little kid at one of those kind of activity, fun zone places in Levittown, New York I don’t know the name of the actual place just you know arcade games, ball pits and he could get pizza and chicken fingers kind of stuff
If only anyone ever knew how good the physics could be in that PS2/Wii game. Mostly just ps2, tbh, since one can't really do button combo attacks on physical Wii hardware.
Yes, he can. You just haven’t watched Mission: Impossible 3, proof positive that he can write a halfway decent adaptation of a 1960’s television series, and are basing your idea of his writing abilities wholly on two or so films from the last decade. Not to mention, the Speed Racer script he’d be working off of is one he wrote in the 90’s, well before his reputation took a hit.
Beautiful style of video/audio, thanks. I create historic game videos too and i understand how hard is it. As for Speed racer; looking at these footages the game might be interesting only to japanese kids, so no much regret about it loost in the time.
Then your lack of regret is completely superficial. Not only is that a terrible reason to let this classic be “loost in the time,” American gamers enjoy these games (as explicitly stated in the video), with many of them being made by non-Japanese developers. That’s how much Speed Racer popularized anime in the west, so “interesting only to japanese kids” my foot. You can’t just dismiss this great series with such flimsy reasoning and no elaboration. Some people might like what Japanese kids like.
I agree, the show’s seen its prime and left its impact long ago.. Maybe if they took a more cinematic & mature approach, I’d enjoy a new movie or series. Thanks for watching :)
@@machgogogoclips415if it’s really being done by J.J….god I hope he somehow does it right..don’t have a lot of trust in that guy after what he did to Star Wars lol
@@lostsaintThat would be a total disservice to its legacy. There’s no good reason to wish death on such a legendary franchise, even if you think it shouldn’t be forgotten. With a colorful cast of quirky characters and exciting plots that can range from a mystery thriller, a family drama, a serial adventure, a morality tale, or anything in between, the possibilities are endless, so why not take advantage of that? Not to mention, Speed Racer is now free to stream and reruns are being shown on MeTV Toons, which will no doubt bring the series to a new generation of viewers. Whether you like it or not, Speed is back and here to stay, so you might as well eat his dust while you can.
You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Just because the show did that once doesn’t mean it can’t do it again. One of the things that makes Speed Racer Speed Racer is that he never gives up, even when the odds are against him. By agreeing with the person above, you are betraying the values on which the series is based and what makes it such an inspiration, values that we need now more than ever. Even if it doesn’t take “a more cinematic & mature approach,” as long as it keeps its sense of high-flying adventure and moral core intact, it’ll be all worthwhile.

Great Video, Glad to see more fans out there and hoping that number gets bigger when the new Live action show comes out.
Use the IP to make a badass game out of it with multiplayer and customizable cars. It will be huge

Speed Racer.
One of the best cartoons ever apart from many others.
Including my personal favourite…
Albert The 5th Musketeer.
You doing a nice job of making those lists, nice narration, a quick review, great video buddy, keep it up
Very well made video, i still remember to this day playing the '08 Wii movie game as a child.
Well put together video. Sad it hasn't reached a wider audience. Thank you for putting it together!

No, it doesn’t. The original show offers endless possibilities.
