Just found your Chanel, excelente content. I have been a commercial/industrial and to lesser degree residential installer. Now trying service work and your Chanel is an immense help. Thank you and my respects. Please keep posting more content.
Use membrane with the mastic. You could use duckboard too . A case of 1 inch duckboard has six sheets in it and varies in price of about $20 a sheet or more like the prices went up. The mesh membrane holds the mastic it has a little glue on it with your spray glued in place and the mesh will hold the mastic to whatever you put it to thanks Jerry
I like your little Mikita fan, Mikita makes a few good products, I have a couple of their tools, hope the doctor told you good news, instead of bad. Good job Curtis.
I yelled through the screen to change both cores at the same time, because when one is leaking/stuck the other likely will do the same thing. lol pain in the rear things they are.
Some Gopro cameras support a external mic. Some microphones also have a short pickup range in order to cancel other ambient sound. That's just a bit of food for thought from a former audio technician.
Heres something that a great tec like u might be able to help me !!!! When I put my trane/ american standard heater model s8x1b080m4psca ( honey well tstat 3000 ) on fan only it goes to very low speed, the manual has no real information ( dip switches ) ( board ) on how to change the speed on fan only mode. Heating/cooling works great. Do I need to do wiring od some kind or what
When you charged with R22B did you just add it in since it was so low anyways? Also what’s the average time it takes you to complete a call? Not at repair but troubleshooting. I am a field tech and I want to be more efficient running calls any advise.
I've been a service technician for 25 years and did install and fabrication for 13 years before that and the goal I set is when I go on a call when I start a trouble shooting is to find the problem in 15 minutes or less but when I find the problem bad capicater or compressor or motor whatever is to make sure that's the only problem I've been doing it so long I can most of the time see what the unit is doing and know what is wrong. But that comes with experience like my diagnostics bag only weighs 5 pounds that in itself helps out
Your business and my business is almost identical, so I am not going to say take care of your health and hire someone (although that is the right way) I realize it is not that simple. It will be two years this August when I had my heart attack, which brought my business to a complete stand still for 6 months (since I had to have open heart bypass surgery), no revenue and enormous medical expenses. Since then I am still a one man operation
I’m a one man show also, and I find that a lot less stressful not dealing with headaches of babysitting helpers and just doing my own thing everyday.by myself. You do have to work a little harder physically though and get a little creative when doing installs alone. I wouldn’t have it any other way though. There are certain jobs that I flat out turn down, like doing a complete reduct job in the summer in an attic. If they want it done I tell them They’ll have to wait till wintertime.
I would like to know what you did about the condensation drip on the return line, looks like it's been dripping for quite a while owing to the condition of the floor.
Good job on sealing/insulating the return plenum. You are usually pretty thorough, however I noticed you didn’t insulate the bare suction line. Not criticizing just out of character for your work. Keep up the good videos!
Wondering this as well. Hopefully he recovered vacced then added the drop in. Drop ins should never be mixed with the original. Also I would personally recover and vac on a system that has shraders leaking. I’m always worried about air in the system
been working with HVAC for about 4years now. Been thinking taking a risks and do service calls like this. But have no idea yet like how much to charge people per service request repair
ok ivd watched 1 or 2 ok maybe 100 of your jobs and although been doing this for 30 years plus dont think i could have fixed one !1 of ur callouts ( well maybe the cap jobs)
That’s exactly my age. I’m trying to scale it back, accept less calls, by appointment only, and reject calls that would put me at risk. I don’t want to leave it just yet. You’re right it can be brutal
@@HVACGUY a lot of people are having issues after taking the vaccine. Inflammation around the heart has been a very common side effect that can occur even weeks after having the vaccine.
I had my 2nd vaccine shot on June 7 and I have experienced more rapid heart beat and more difficulty on breathing. My doctor says it’s due to my prior heart damage from my heart attack, but who knows. Since the government and liberal media promoting everyone needing to get the vaccine, I don’t know if the doctors would want to link any occurrences to be caused by the vaccine
Doctors are not permitted to voice vaccine concerns per most state medical boards. Minnesota medical board is “suing” MN doctor Bob Zajac for informing his patients there is a risk (despite the fact that there are risks) to vaccines and letting the patient decide. Good luck getting advice from a doctor!
i had something happen just recently... if i may be a bother ... i found my pressure switch with a bunch of water in it .. after checking what caused a limit switch error but it wasnt the limit switches they all had currect coming in and out ... i tested the limit circut at 16 volts but the board R wire reads about 29.5 volts ..now im stumped
@@adeptheatingair i ordered a board on line and put it in and the same error, the wires connect to the gas valve for the inducer and safety switches.. its an ICP n9mp1075b12b1 if there isnt any circut board on the gas valve ,(other than the connectors ) then i would assume its either the transformer or another bad board i cant tell
I saw your TH-cam video for the first time and I'm so impressed with your knowledge and patience and ingenuity in your field , I would like to know how can I get in touch with you , email address or phone ? Hope everything is ok at the doctor
Thanks bro. It’s easy to keep working at a unsustainable pace, and ignore warning signs. If we don’t take care of ourselves we can’t help anyone else.
@@HVACGUY I hear that. You didn’t have a heart attack or anything did you?
@@johnisraelhvac2019 very close to something severe like that. I’m clearly not 20 years old anymore.

that 2nd call had the line set coming out of the foundation below grade with no conduit around it , just dirt LOL
By the time you can do this work well, your to old to do it anymore.
Commenting as I watch, I can’t tel if that first unit compressor is screaming or it’s the contractor buzzing but sheesh!
I'm afraid of the fan blade hub screws coming out and the blade blasting through a coil, so I automatically use thread locker.
i want to get a volmeter. wonder what you suggest. Do you rec the chinese brand? Or do you suggest your fieldpiece
The only thing I have done differently is put the tstat wire in some 1/2 liquid Tite
Gotta turn that blower off during the evap leak check l

just find a job who will train you and get your certs that way . id never spend 6k 😭

How long does that fan stay running on batterie?
About a week of use on a 5ah battery

I work on my own. And have a running commentary in my head in my own voice. Darn annoying. !
You should hire a helper and let a young cat to the attic work! Too damn hot and hard on your body when you get older! Take care buddy!
pay them right though
this is mad boring
Don't work to hard.
Your cheating with that fan tho.

The fan helps if having difficulty with the heat.
I used to never wear glasses when working on condensers until I got tired of having mulch spray up into my face and eyes on startup
