I don't actually. I usually test 2 ad groups in my campaigns. 1 with broad match and 1 with phrase match. I have also been known to start broad and narrow down. So once my pin has been running for a week I will go back and see what keywords are sending clicks and add those as phrase and exact match.
@@HeatherFarris Thanks for the reply Heather! I've never tried testing 2 ad groups, one with broad match and one with phrase match. That's really smart. :-) I'll put that on my to-do list for my next campaign!
This is really good info and I see now that I've made some mistakes in my marketing strategy. Can you do a video about the Pinterest'sVerified Merchant program? I don't see much info on this new subject.
@@maryprater9218 Correct, you need to have a shop where you sell physical products. You can setup a shopify store where you list all of your products and they show in a shop tab but you can't be part of the VMP program.
Hey Heather, is there a way to exclude competitors in targeting, i noticed lots of online stores in pinterest, i'm afraid even they are the only ones will see my ad 😅
No I don’t believe so. You should be fine though. For every $100 in ad spend I use a 3-4 million people audience. I doubt your competition is browsing Pinterest readily.
.35% isn't the best. From what I have learned taking Monica Froese's Promoted Pins course anything .50-1% is average and anything over 1 is good. I would reevaluate your goals for that pin to determine if you can improve the overall campaign. I always aim for .50% or higher and after a week if my CTR isn't in that range then I tweak my campaign or ad groups.
I have a specific question about my pinterest ads. I had a high CTR. I had 1000 clicks to my site, all pages were working, but absolutely no sales. What is wrong???
There is likely a disconnect from your pin that you are promoting and the landing page they are landing on. I would also take a look at the price. I've found higher priced products don't do as well with cold traffic. Lastly, are you running any retargeting campaigns?
@@HeatherFarris the pin and the landing page were fine. I suspect product cost is a possibility but I have no control over the cost, my markup is minimal, Fine Art America prices are what they are. It was my first ad with this piece, so no time to do a retargeting campaign yet. It might be a good idea though because it had a high re-pin rate. I just dont want to dump a bunch more money in an uneducated haphazard way.
Very helpful.Thank you!!
You’re welcome!
Great Video! Definitely the information I have been looking for! Thanks for making the content, you've made a subscriber out of me!!!
Thanks for the sub Marco!
Great tutorial Heather! I have a question for you…. Would you suggest always choosing broad match keywords when running Promoted Pins?

I have a video on this planned but I haven't outlined the specifics. Anything you need to know specifically?
@@HeatherFarris I think I found out the information I needed. You can’t be a verified merchant if you were a digital product seller, correct?

Love your video! I have a question what's a good CTR for pinterest? Mine is at 0.35% with spending only $11 getting 40 clicks with is that ok?

hi,conversions vs traffic ads which one is better you think for selling products online?
I prefer conversion campaigns for selling products. Here's a video where I talk about that: facebook.com/watch/?v=210323347042844
