I’m planning to open an art store and Pinterest was going to be a big part of my marketing plan besides blogging and other social media. I know Pinterest is a great way to market and get traffic for custom merch and art. The trends option you showed was super helpful because I could tailor some of my designs or merch towards that current trend.

Hi there! The pins and boards I personally focus on are targeting my ideal audience. So as I include products from my Etsy shop, I focus on pins that compliment (not compete) my Esty products so that my target audience will have more reason to follow me. I think trends are great but if they are not relevant to your target audience or compliment your products, they will not serve you in the long run. Does that make sense? :)
Tnx, you are perfect. What does this mean when people keep saying repin others pins. Does it mean I have to repin others' pins to the group boards I'm a member of or save others' pins in one of my own related boards? I'm confused. Please help me.
It’s definitely not a simple answer. Ranking in any algorithm requires sooooo many elements like an active account, consistent pins and new pins, keywords, descriptions, hashtags... etc etc etc. the answer is all of it!
People always mention views. You can views but few sales. So I would recommend a catchy landing page to pique interest. I'm using Pinterest ads. It was cheaper than Facebook last I checked.
If you have photoshop you can find smart object models for sale for a lot of products which you put your image in and it automatically applies the warping like a mockup tool would do. The advantage over placeit is that they're yours to keep and you don't have to keep paying monthly, the most cost effective option depends how much variety of mockup images you'll need for your store
@@mattm45613 right on thanks. I don't have Photoshop. I have been using inkscape to do designs. I won't be making mock ups til I have 25+ designs to drop at once. I might just use place it.

My biggest issue with pinterest is how do I get found in search results? Is it hashtags? Title? Your description? It makes my brain go 🤯

Have you hired models for lifestyle photos or use only online mock ups?
I use to do live photo shoots but it takes way too much time and money. Placeit.net is the way to go!
