One note that the Celtics had pick 14 from the Kings via the 2017 draft night trade with the 76ers. They used that on Romeo Langford who was a piece in the Derrick White trade
I never forgot that because that was the year the new lottery odds came to effect. Still it sucks to have the worst record in the league, but to lose on a top pick is just salt into the wound.
I'm a Pelicans fan from Italy and here the Draft Lottery starts at 2/3 AM I remember waking up at 6 AM to go to school and discovering that we've somehow managed to get the 1st pick... I was so sleepy but when I found out I started celebrating like crazy!
Ouch at 8:35, that's what I was steeling myself all year to accept in 2023 throughout a horrible Spurs season and then somehow they lucked out and you could hear my whole neighborhood screaming as the Spurs landed the #1 pick for Wemby.
I had the same reaction when I saw the Knicks got the third pick, but I knew it was rigged to help out the Pelicans and from a business perspective I couldn’t blame them.
As a Brooklyn fan going through the rebuild, I don't think we'll be lucky enough to win the lottery but for this class, I'll be happy for a top 3 pick anything less would be disappointing but my biggest hope is for a team that's not in need to jump us especially if we're the worse team.
the pelicans were way more than set to be a playoff team once they drafted zion and did the AD trade. lonzo, zion, ingram, hart, zion, redick, jrue. and they had jaxson and nickeil who at the time looked to be promising role players. took them way too long to make it to the playoffs and by then half of the team was flipped for cj mccollum and jonas valunciunas and it was their draft picks from the 2022 year that helped them in the playoffs. not the 2019 one. crazy how the timeline of the #1 pick team worked
They actually drafted good after Cade, but it was Monty being desperate to let Killian Hayes marry one of his own daughters that left Ivey and Ausar stunted

Man I have no idea where the Grizzlies would be at today if they did not get insanely lucky and get the 2nd pick
Probably they are going to build around JJJ, but they probably would take longer time to enjoy success that Ja is giving them right now
You never know, maybe they would have gotten lucky te next year and take ANT
The class as a whole is underrated, so many very good players. You got stars, you got 2-3rd options and you have great role players
Your reaction to the picks 💀

Your reaction in 2019 was amazing great to relive haha love the video!

This was a good video idea, you also structured it well going into the projected lottery standings from that teams regular season
🙂
This thumbnail is giving “erm actually”
So many outcomes changed everything

The 1train instrumental goes hard
You know what else is insane Matt, we don't have episode 2 of the wizards rebuild yet 😂

My knicks😮😢😢😂🎉❤❤

Rigged
Your reaction to the Knicks falling is what I've experienced the last few years as a Pistons fan 🥲
Pistons chose cade over mobley and barnes when you got the no 1 pick
@genkimchijpeg4706 cade is a great player though
