A point of the hooks is probably for winters. If it's cold outside, and the cab is warm, you take off your jacket when you get in, so that cold air is not trapped inside the jacket. Then you can warm up quicker, because there's no jacket to shield you from the warm air. When you're about to get out, you put on the now warm jacket and go out. For winter situations this is absolutely great.
Daniel we need a tour of other construction machines in the yard and how they make work easy like batch mixers , rollers and concrete pumps . im following you from Nairobi Kenya. im impressed at the way you explain technical stuff with lots of ease.
Great review of the Scania Daniel. I love the private reg and subtle touches like the airhorns and LED work lights. When are you reviewing your new Liebherr?
Yo bruv I really enjoy your videos! I have absolutely no interest in construction but this shit is entertaining af. I'm going to watch all of your videos, like, and leave this comment on all of them. Keep going bro!
Hey mate. Subscribed you yesterday and I love your videos,I love the idea and so impressed by how tidy you are with your life and workplace, its so great it looks like you spend alot of money just to keep the business tidy
How do you get tipper experience when no one will offer you days out with drivers to learn on the job? If you can drive a truck you can drive the truck but how to do the job is what you need on the job training for but no companies want to offer that. I was HGV driver 28 years old in central London out of Chelmsford and find it impossible to get into tippers.
its louder becouse the engine is beside you and not under you like in The R series(nearly flat floor). But in the S your over the engine(flat floor) and The Scania P is a more city lorry so probely not as much sound deadening. And Love your videos
Hi, can I ask if your truck has onboard weighing and why is there no hand wash for your driver. I have recently retired from the Utility sector and these were 'speck' on the contract for our sub contractors. Also, from a safety point why is the shovel mounted on the off side of the vehicle next to the exhaust. Not criticising, I am just curious.
Swings and roundabouts mate. Some are terrible others pay great rates. Depends on many factors. Ie if its an aggregate recycling firm or a smaller firm with subbed work from a bigger player. To be honest you're better off taking a dive in and you'll slowly learn where the money is. Took me a good 4 to 5 years to finally end up where I'm at as people don't leave once in.
My main advice would be to diversify your skill set once driving. Ie get a crane ticket so grabs are also an option volumetric and or drum mixer. I get an enhanced rate to float around the fleet. Could be on a tipper 1 week and a volumetric the next.
In my opinion the previous shape was better with NO deaf spot due to the nearside window being inoperable you cannot hear anyone giving you instructions from the nearside yes the infotainment system might be good but safety is more important
Ashville Aggregates, Grab Hire, Tipper Hire, Skip Hire And Material I’ve had both, believe me these new gen Scania’s wipe the floor with the Volvos. I drove a new Volvo FMX 420 for 3 years, I’ve had a 2017 Scania p410 and have had a new Gen Scania, my opinion the new Gens are the best tippers on the road! Great video and lovely truck!
this vehicle encourages lazy driving, no manual g/box, also if you breakdown you will need a laptop. so nothanks i will stick with the AEC mammoth major, which is not a girlie motor and can be fixed on the side of the road !
Hey man the quality of your channel is unbelievable !! 😊
Thank you for the feedback.
We are constantly trying to see how we can improve so your feedback is appreciated
You buy some quality kit, lucky drivers, did notice a tacho light, no need for a tacho🤣
@@thisisashville who's your video editor this is literally how I wanna do my channel

I dont own a truck but you are inspiring me to own one. you are driving with lots of ease. Good driving skills for a heavy commercial machine.
Stumbled across this channel last night and I’m finding the content very interesting and the production very professional.
video on the journey to where you are now and how you started. Keep up the great work!

Now I found a channel and these were the trucks I see in carwow drag races.

As a XT tipper driver your review is spot on. The engine noise is louder is the truck is in “off road” mode.
Hey Dan , is it better to start as an owner operator and what truck do u recommend to start with ,and any tips on how to get regular work , ? Thanks
Scania the only way to go .for me thanks for the runn bud hi from brit man in austrailia be safe out there
What is the price of that truck it very nice
What we need is a Volvo FH and Volvo FMX review!
We just brought 7 of these and got the xt storage upgrade on the back window
I drove past one of you guys on the m25 ;)
Next time send us a pic!
I’ve always thought MAN had good storage and it also has hooks
Those truck would be nice to own here in the states
if you want more storage and better cab, you should go for a g cab, but even with the p cab, i understand why you think it’s underspaced and storaged
Interesting stuff!

I wish we would adopt this style of truck here in the US. Our Tech is nowhere near that

From what I've been told them trucks are not nice to service compared to daf CF
Hmmmm, we have them on full R&M at Scania, so not much experience under them. We also run a few older DAF's
volvo fm 410 😂😂😂 more room in the cab. and that is on a 2007 my one has a night out cab.
Have a word with Volvo and get them to give us a demo to review
