@@PlatypusKnitting oh I'm pleased you found it useful! I fill drink bottles with water but they could be filled with sand, I also use small dumb bells, I attach the warp to the weight with a bit of Gaffa tape it's good and strong but comes off easy when done. Thank you for your video it's always good watching someone else going through the process. Cheers!
@@PlatypusKnitting oh! Just one or two bottles or dumbbells will be sufficient, I just use more because I like to divide the warp up in sections, then I can tug on each bundle or just one bundle if need be.
The scarf turned out so lovely! Thank you for sharing this process, I’ve not really looked into weaving before and it looks like a very gratifying craft!
I have a smaller version and warp mine by taking out the warp beam and clamping it to a table edge but I can't do that with the No. 4. I don't have a warping peg either so I've had to cut the warp threads before warping.
I've actually just created a tensioning device with dowels and it's so good! Highly recommend giving that a try. Also started using yarn butlers as warping pegs. Also works pretty well, but not perfect.
I completely missed what you did with the warp behind the loom and how the threads were drawn through! Other than that, lots of lovely teaching
Thank you ☺️ I'll do my best to capture that next time!
Lovely video, charmingly presented. Well done. Beautiful scarf. Excellent!
Great scarf. A forever gift for your nephew ❤️ 🧣🐑
Let’s hope so! 😁🖤
An easy way to finish warping your loom is attach weights of some kind to the warp yarn then you can easily tension it as you wind in. Cheers!
Thanks! I have plans for a new weave hopefully soon so will have to remember that.

Wow that’s a lot more weight than I was imagining! Will have to see what I have around the house.

Aw thanks Ally! Setting it all up is pretty time consuming and fiddly. But you’re right - weaving itself is so gratifying!
What a wonderful scarf! Lucky nephew! The yarn you chose is just perfect. Love your loom.
Keep happy making!
Thanks Tracy! It’s a neat little loom, but I am considering a mod or two 🤓
Nice.
Lovely video, I would love if you could do an in depth vid of the warping at the back end of the loom as I didn't quite catch it.
Thank you ☺️. Next time I'll warp on a different table so I can film that! This one just doesn't give me enough space.
