  • Do you ever find that your voice shakes when you’re nervous? If so, this video is for you.
In this video, I answer the question: “How can I have a more stable voice when giving presentations? My voice sometimes shakes because my body shakes when I am super nervous.”
The great thing about the way this question is worded is that it inherently implies that there is a connection between your emotional state, your body and your voice- and that’s 100% true!
So if you want to address a shaky voice, the answer lies in addressing the nerves that are causing the shaky voice in the first place.
I talk about why the body shakes when you feel nervous, how to befriend that shakiness so that it eases up more quickly and how to root into the present moment in a way that makes you feel more calm and stable.
Give these tips a go and let me know how it goes! Please also share with anyone you think might find this helpful and subscribe to my channel for more communication tips.

I just graduated college and have my first “real job” interview tomorrow morning. I have always had, in my head to be, the worst nervousness when just recording a video of myself answering questions. I will use these tips, and thank you!

The thing is that when I am presenting something my voice doesn't shake as much as my knees and my hands But when I am reading a simple text my voice starts shaking and I start gasping for air . This thing happened to me 2 years ago then it stopped last year but it's back now . I made lots of researchs and when I don't want it to happen I take deep breaths 4 seconds inhale 4s keep it 4s exhale and 4s stop breathing then repeat it till I feel better . It really helped me but I still have it and I don't want it anymore

I’m a bit late, but when I get nervous my accent seems to change. When I was at school we had to present our presentation in front of the class and after I was done these two girls asked me where I was from. I said I was from here, the US, and they thought I sounded British.
Being nervous has an effect on my voice somehow. Those two girls weren’t the first people to ask me that either. It could be that I am learning a new language, but I doubt that’s the reason.
Do you have any tips on why this is occurring and how I could improve on not doing it? I’m not trying to do it on purpose, or to upset someone. It just changes when I get nervous or have to speak professionally

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with your accent shifting when you are nervous. I can imagine that that would be frustrating. I can't tell you exactly what the link is between the nerves and the accent shift, but here is a video I made for tips around how to maintain your own accent when you don't want it to change that you might find useful. It becomes most useful around min 1:40. : th-cam.com/video/c5q9Ce6cbAk/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=VoicewhatMatters

      Chill girl same with me...
Listen JK(Jiddu Krishnamurti) maybe he could help🫶🏼
He got love the supreme compassion which heals all sorrow. We're jus psychologically wounded from childhood that's why our body has developed these reactions. Let the biological intelligence do wht it wants...
To me personally reminding myself to let body control itself rather than intelligence of thought which in a way led to this whole mess and second remember death gonna put an end to all the contents of consciousness including tym... So live in present and upto ur name which is joy🎉
