110524 (a year later) Jane has a really nice stride, kind of Tuohy-esque with that back kick. Reminds me also of Grace Hartman who is NC State's low stick this year, the first of the post-Tuohy/ Chmiel era. Speaking of NC State, Ellie Shea, mentioned as one of the national leaders and who is not in this race, has stepped into the shoes of Sam Bush or Leah Stephens (who is injured at the moment) as a potential reliable third guy in, albeit a Baby Wolfie, as they are known..Considering that Sadie Engelhardt will be joining the WolfPack next year ('25), if Jane or Beth Leachman should find their way to Raleigh, they would be instant contenders. GO PACK!
Muscles. Women and girls are catching up, though. Joshua Cheptegei has the men's 5000 WR with 12:35.36 and Gudaf Tsegay with 14:00.21 holds the women's WR. However, in a pro half marathon the other day the winner ran :57, the fourth fastest in history. The first woman in (around 30 years old) ran something like 1:04. Katelyn Tuohy, the fabulous XC and middle distance runner at NC State used to win SE New York high school cross meets running splits that were faster than all but a handful of boys, out of hundreds. Within the past few years women have begun to win ultra races competing against men. Most long distance swimming records are held by women.
THOSE GIRLS ARE INSANE!!!

Feel sorry for the commentator The thought of Metric frightens him
These announcers are funny. How many times did they change the pronunciation of SINKE and others?
👍
There should be no lapped runners in championship races. Figure something out, track and field.
I thought if u got lapped you got DQ, but I guess that’s not an official rule.
she prob had a bad race, sadly it was on nxn but she is there because she is one of the best, not everyone can have a good race
@@sydneykasahararuns Yeah I agree. Not every runner runs a great race every single time, so that’s important to know.
Everyone has off days, even the best in the country.
@@saturatedtwo3458 agreed
High school girls best runners still far slower than what I ran in high school, wonder why so far behind??
Durrrr

dude you did not run an 8 minute two mile you’d be catching offers left and right and no one’s ever heard of you
Thank you for the prevaricating misogynist's perspective. 🤡
What a sad excuse for a human you are.
