- My trip to Macedonia started by the Ohrid lake, where we passed the borders from Albania with the car. We have spent a few days with my Canadian friends in Ohrid city in Macedonia. It has been a great experience, and then the next destination was Bitola where we have decided to do the hiking in Pelister National Park and reach this amazing lake in 2218 m altitude! The hiking has been very difficult around 4 hours but the view was breathtaking! I should describe less and show you more, check out the video! :)

MY BEAUTIFUL MACEDONIA! My beautiful Baba Planina and Pelister! I'm from Bitola, I moved to Melbourne 3 years ago, and I miss that mountain more than anything. I used to go every weekend at Golemo Ezero (Big Lake) and Malo Ezero (Small Lake). There is no rock or pebble that I do not know on the way there. Thank you for sharing the video. I enjoyed and feel like I was there again.

Wow great video! I hiked Pelister to the peak 3 years ago. Such an amazing experience with epic views! If you get a chance my last video on my channel was a showcase of the Pelister hike. Cheers from West Australia.
I LOVE a good walk but I think that would defeat me. Saying that though I did something similar when I went to Austria so who knows haha.
Austria nature is amazing as well! But this was another level really :) I was thinking I am physically in good condition for intense activities but this hike showed me I am not even close haha :)

Hi Lalallyna. From Bitola, there is no public transportation to Pelister National Park.
A taxi to the village of Dihovo (see above video) is 200 MKD (€3) and to the Hotel Mikola/Information Center 450 MKD (€8.)

Please its not called Macedonia...Macedonia is a greater region between Green Bulgaria and Fyrom...and used to be the greek kindom of Macedonia in the region..thats why the country is called NORTH MACEDONIA..
