That piece has a kind of cool rustic vibe to it. Perfect for a laundry room. I had similar issues with Mélange all in one. (I think it is pronounced Melanj) Try using a foam roller. I got significantly better coverage by doing that. Honestly I prefer the Mélange standard paint over their all in one. I've had much better results with it. Give it a try before forming an opinion on Mélange, it really is a quality paint.
