it's not really to bite down i think it's because the shape of the ears change ever so slightly when the mouth is open which would be happening a lot if he's singing live for an hour or two every night of a tour

@@mewybee the paste could Go Up to the eardrum then an Doc has to remove it cause we cant do that thats the worst for a normal ear If you have a hole in ur eardrum then maybe you need surgery, If the Paste goes threw your eardrum :) But thats why we use cotton woolpads for the eardrum so we dont go near it while doing the Impression taking

As a person who wears hearing aids this is how they make our earmolds too for them. Never knew you could do it for other things too.
