Ever wonder how to save money fast, and how much you should have at your age? In this video, I explain some basics on investing for beginners, how much money I have, how to properly pay off debt, and how much to have in savings by retirement age. Financial independence doesn't happen on it's own, it takes decades of saving and investing.
For me, I need $500,000 saved and invested (in something like dividend paying stocks) at 4% to generate roughly $20,000 in passive income per year to be considered financially independent or retired. These are some money saving tips to stick to moving in to 2020. Pay off your debts, and let's start saving money!

I actually thought about creating an online, rather inexpensive business about common financial topics for younger individuals. For example, I'm only 23 with a credit score of 697 and have never had a credit card. So one topic I'd like to explain to people is how they can build credit without actually ever taking out a credit card.

Is this a growth stock portfolio or dividend based portfolio? Reason why I am asking is that I want to get into dividend investing and already feel like wasted 6 years. I now already started investing money into stock, started with the more solid companies like J&J, coca cola and also a bit risky ones like Carnival and AT&T.
Planning to invest in Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and Starbuck but feel like the market prices are really high atm so waiting for a discount.
      So how is you portfolio?

@Jorel Boston I am also putting part of my investment in to Vanguard life strategy find, this somewhat stabilise my portfolio since it had ETF and index fund combination, but looking to expand via individual stocks for greater increase in DY but of course this comes at a cost of greater risk. Luckily I'm into this with a mindset that it will be at least 15 years and maybe 20 years if required. But looking to get more investment knowledge to diversify my portfolio.
