I feel like it should have for this fight as master chief is too fast for jega
That’s only if you maxed out your shield core. If he didn’t he would’ve died by one hit. But only morons wouldn’t max out Chief before this particular boss fight.

Notice when he “kills” Jega there is no body, I’ll bet he comes back in later games.
I sure hope so, with another prosthetic/upgrade too would be awesome!!!
That spooked me the hell out in the first gameplay. I wasn’t convinced that the fight had ended yet for a while

Update: I've viewed other playthroughs of the fight and it turns out only mine did that
I personally think the camo just activated when he died, which means nobody will ever find his body...
I got chills down my spine fighting this guy. He’s pretty cool.
I know a lot about Sangheili culture, and, fun fact, Jega ‘Rdomnai is sort of an odd ball out. Prosthetics are frowned down upon, so it would make sense that he’s in the Banished.
Damn. The cutscene took almost longer to play than the fight itself.

Probably the best introduction to a boss out of all the boss fights in Infinite. Awesome gameplay, was great to watch!
I remember in halo legends the package (canon?) chief was defeated in a duel with an elite. I also remember somewhere in lore stating that one of chief is less confident fighting with the energy swords.
He was 15 at the time, barely learning how to use mjolnir armor, covenant weaponry was complete alien to him at the time especially ethe energy swords, but because his predecessor Spartans the ones from ancient times used swords he had to honor them by using one himself, after that fight with thel Vadam he mastered the sword

Chief canonically struggles with CQC and while he's amazing compared to a human he's been bested before, even getting pretty heavily wounded in a 1v1 with an Elite, in First Strike, which is set after Halo CE. On the other hand, Kelly and Fred are experts.
@@Espartanica cqc is his specialty, how do you think he killed most elites? By getting up close cause the bastards are pretty fast too. Fred was like the only spartan capable of winning a cqc with chief and that's quite 40% chance for chief to lose. Also at this point chief kinda defeated jega a silent shadow leader and blade master at what he knows best so yeah

That was decades ago against thel vadam when he was a major,chief learned swordsmanship ever since to the legit point where he's beyond blade master,hence why jega was pretty easily defeated by chief

Very nice moves. I didn’t know that shocking a mini boss was possible. I might need to try your tactics to beat him if I try the game on the highest difficulty setting.
My favorite boss fight hands down.
Imagine if there was actual dueling mechanics with energy swords like blocking or pareying

@@stormcooper7875 I think he meant it as a jega had a hard time against a 4 but now he sees a 2 and both him and the grunt know that 4s are pussy cats compared to the 2s

I have to admit, Jega Rdomni felt way too easy on legendary. I beat him in one try and was left confused why it was already over. (That was my first play through)
When I went back on normal difficulty, I just brought a mounted machine gun and killed him just by aiming it at him and holding down right trigger. It was very anticlimactic.
I really hope he comes back in dlc, as his body disappears when you beat him so he may still be alive. They could give him the classic Darth maul comeback and everyone would love it.
I mostly used AR and magnum, also when he vanished I stood my ground looking left right and using my ears to detect him, when I hear him running I know from where he will attack and dodge at the last second, trust me it's so damn satisfying when you pull it off and dodge his sword, it makes it look like he gets frustrated that you keep dodging and damaging him
This was the hardest puzzle in the game I jumped in that horror house and just wondered for 15 minutes that what should I do here while that creepy audio played over and over and over again.
Suicided and noticed the disk in 5 seconds when entered the place again.
At the beginning of the fight I had a blast coil so I hurled it and then just kept throwing grenades at him and that got a decent amount out

Where did you get the energy blade ? Couldn't find one in those mock setups
Was the coolest looking Elite and the first to have prosthetics introduced and yet his ending was disappointing
I dont think he is dead, his body camos as he "dies" classic Hollywood death, bound to come back in a sequel/dlc
This is why I modified 2 things that made him terryfing to fight, I upped his health by double and made his sword instakill you. One mistake equalled death, also I used AR and pistol to handicap myself

What I love about this is the fact you can do this in game, but the lore reality is that chief would get completely smoked in a sword duel with Jega.
