At one point, there's a sign that says "it's all in your head" (something that people will mental illnesses get told often) and when she's having an episode in the restaurant, the customers completely ignore her (mental illnesses are constantly being dismissed and people don't like talking about them). And the fact that the woman is triggered by light resonates with the title of "Black Wave"- she feels comfortable in the darkness and negativity. The video starts off with a quote- "if the future is so bright, why does it blind me?" To me, this shows how the track represents social awareness and a cynical attitude of where society is going. I wish the story was clearer in the video, but I like the approach they took!

Is the light/spotlight representative of someone/society/high beams from police lights looking in on individual's lives = disruption? In reference to the lyrics of "shaking in my own cage", and " in the end guess we're all just animals" everyone has their own lives in their own box, stuck in this flow of " the way a life should be". But in reality, when push comes to shove, whats going to happen when individuals are pushed to their limits? Act with instincts? The music/lyrics are great! The build up of the music gives is first : in the verse a constant quick beat, painting a visual of like someone poking annoyingly over and over again. Chorus: then it is calm, patient, introspective "waiting..." and questioning, "what do I believe? I believe" But then at the very end its super fast and sounds like frustration building up to the explode! " I swear to god you don't want to test me!" "Don't test me!" In this video the use of the visual of the light is disruptive and distorting. The individual in the video keeps trying to get away from the light and in the end is running away from it, it seems. Sorry, didn't mean to attempt to analyze this video, I guess I'm just trying to understand this visual choice compared to the lyric video. Either way, love everything you do!
My interpretation of the video is that the protagonist is dealing with some severe anxiety toward an uncertain and pretty scary future. We are expected by society to have a plan, an idea of where we want to go with our lives and what we want to do. The future is ours, anything is possible and we are utterly free! But lacking a clear idea of what to do or how it all is going to turn out can lead to all that optimism turning into an oppressing force, represented in the video by the lights. The opening quote, "IF THE FUTURE IS SO BRIGHT WHY DOES IT BLIND ME", supports this. The message "It's all in your head" reflects the mental aspects of anxiety, which is often an unsettling feeling rather than a physical oppressor. I think the final message "Don't waste your yougth growing up" is a message to not obsess to much over the future, but rather enjoy the present while you can. This interpretation could clearly be squewed toward feelings I've personaly had throughout life (or rather still have hehe), but I feel like it fits pretty good!
