Why is it pointless? It clearly showed at the end a very important point in which they are all agree, that there cannot be a state that only contingent things exist, therefore there needs to be a necessary existence that is independent (not depended on any other thing) that gives rise to all dependent things.

Biologists are experts in life, but also do not conclude life as "miraculous". It's much more likely your beliefs are derived from your upbringing. The beliefs of your family and environment are the highest predictors of belief.

The argument postulation was consistent, and the counter argument of modal collapse was never going to hold because it had theistic presuppositions to it, honestly the young man was pushing it as it's main event but it was obvious all along because there is no way of disproving a dependency or contingency argument, the young man was trying to dodge it that's all.
