I remember watching this like it was yesterday: I was a freshman in high school, and a D1 veteran. I was so ready for this stream and I wasn’t gonna miss it. So I watched this the moment it started while we were changing for gym class, and I got to see the Zavala trailer bit. I still remember how hyped I was. Good times.

I remember watching this 7 years ago coming off the end of D1. Since I had played everything in D1 from launch, seeing this was just crazy how different yet the same everything felt. Crazy how time really does fly.
To think that this came out 7 years ago, and now in 10 hours we'll be fighting the Witness in Salvation's Edge. Time flies

the cinematic trailer did something for me that the entirety of destiny 1 could not do... it actually made me care about the vangaurd npcs other than cayde, especially zavala, watching his evolution, quick tho it was, made me understand who he is and how much he cares for the city and his fellow gaurdians, plus it showed how badass he is...

orenji It's been confirmed that under the skill tree for the Sentinel Titan super, if you press the super activation again while in your sentinel super, you can pop a ward of dawn.
remember guys dont think of this as a separate brand new game, think of it as a continuation of destiny 1. thats why a lot of things are the same. this is supposed to be a 10 year adventure i recall one of the devs saying.

Looks great. I can't wait to replay the same missions 10x just to get half decent equipment i could've gotten much faster and easier by just shooting a cave full of enemies that continously respawn for hours.
Nostalgia. Bungie are the best when it comes to trailers, the trailers for Destiny 2 were all epic, an amazing game. I remember getting the game as a surprise birthday gift from my mom, a real feel good game, the music, gameplay, everything was top notch. Good memories playing it.

I think Bungie tried to see if Destiny would have success as a game and with that didn't invest too much in a uncertain return (for the first game). Seeing D1's mega success, they invested.

Destiny had some of the best and most solid combat ive played in a while, they wouldnt change up much, but clearly there is a lot of great additions going on, like you will run into npcs in missions now like with ikora so that will be cool

My favorite part of playing Destiny was doing raids with people. I found a couple people I would raid with each week, but finding enough to fill out the raid team was still a pain. I'm glad that they're making it easier to find groups to play with.

@@cardaroy3556I played since D1Y1, I remember the Hype, the hope, the disappointment for this game. I played Vanilla D2 and I actually liked it way more than D1... but when after 2 weeks there was nothing to do, I understood that there was something wrong lol.
I don’t know when you stopped playing, but D2Y1 is the lowest point of this franchise, right there with D1Y1.
Things have DRASTICALLY changed with Forsaken, back in 2018 (just like D1 changed with TTK).
It’s a totally different game now. Sure there are still some major flaws (for example, the PvP doesn’t receive an update since... I don’t know, a year maybe), but overall the franchise is in a much, MUCH better place now. Like, it’s an actually good game and a good looter, unlike D2Vanilla...
Imo the biggest improvement is in the story... which is actually good now, and that’s almost a miracle considering the disaster of D1 and D2 in this regards lol
God I still miss Lance… crazy how time flies! I was super skeptical of this game in y1 but was aware of cabal raid leaks + the red legion right after Rise of Iron so I ended up getting the game anyway lol

damn I am a veteran destiny player and I am very proud that they are adding a dialogue and show the story of the game rather the having it spoken to you during gameplay etc. the first destiny had some story to it but it wasn't alot.

Nobody uses guided games anymore, I tried it and was stuck there for 15 minutes when there was around 15-20 clan members online not doing anything.

Watching this is like digging up a time capsule , everything presented here is gone, Guided Games crashed and burned, and only about 5-10% complete endgame content in 2023 , I think in-game lfg will be what guided games should have been, and will increase endgame participation
i think guided game will be replaced by the upcoming in game LFG that release way after lightfall release i hope this time they done it right
because for sure i will rock that mode really hard don't care if i joined group of new people that want to learn everybody need to start from somewhere and it will be nice if some veteran want to guide them to the right path
