The long answer: technically every aspect ratio exists, there's nothing in the game preventing you from playing in 8:3. You'd just need to either force the game window to be 8:3, or get an 8:3 monitor and play full screen that way. Most GPU's have an option to force "unsupported" resolutions, so anything is possible.
@@bonkmaykr I mean most people who play 4:3 started using it early on cuz they heard it's "easier to flick heads" and just kept it that way cuz they don't want to fuck up the muscle memory since they are so used to 4:3 by now, even tho it's disadvantageous compared to 16:9... To me it almost feels like I completely change my sensitivity when I switch to other aspect ratio... just can't connect the shots as much :D And I believe you get better FPS with lower ratio => lower resolution. But I'm not sure about that one cuz CS is cpu heavy and I'm not sure whether resolution has any impact on cpu or not.
