    5 steps:
    1. Lean on resources you already have.
    2. Apply Everywhere.
    3. Be open to cloud adjacent roles >> Move up in the same company.
    4. Be smart with your money.
    5. Network, Learn and grow. Be part of a community.

I realize there's a typo in here, has nothing to do with my lack of degree, that's just my laziness and being all over the place.

    0:00 Intro
0:43 Lean on resources you have
1:46 widen the pool of places you are applying to
2:03 Correction: I said "I didn't even go to high school here, I was living in South America and did 2 semesters, then dropped out" I forgot to say *of college. Yes, I did graduate high school, then I did two semesters of college then dropped out.
3:01 Be open to cloud adjacent roles, just because "cloud" isn't in the role title doesn't mean you won't get cloud experience
4:40 Move up instead of out?
4:50 Be smart with your money, later on, it helps if you need to take risks in your career
5:42 network, grow, start a blog, keep studying, start a youtube, document your journey

You already answered what would've been a question at around 2:03. But when you were applying for jobs in addition to your great interviewing I was wondering how & what you did to have companies consider you (b4 & after the interview) even though there was lack of experience. Also, considering if they asked why you dropped out of college and your response to that. #WomanInTech #WomenInTech

    Very helpful tips.
"Becoming comfortable with rejection is a skillset on its own" .- Gwyneth Cloud Engineer.
The area on also humbling yourself to take on cloud adjacent roles before you eventually land the actual cloud one cant be overspoken enough about - Use it as your foundation to getting more off-the-clock time in the company to see how the folks in that cloud role that you want to do, function and if that is still the type of role you'd be willing to fall into.

But to be honest I went to an online school and trains me to be a Linux system admin with no college degree needed. They help me from scratch from learning the foundation, to getting the certification RHCSA(Red Hat Certified System Administrator) and provided me an internship. Hi Gwyneth. Thank you so much for this. I have no IT experience or CS degree, but definitely want to get my certifications. Which platform did you use to study and earn your certification? I see various options like A Cloud Guru, AWS, but trying to see which would be more helpful to someone like myself who doesn't have any tech background. Thank you so much :)

Hey there, so when I was getting started, I used A Cloud Guru and Linux Academy. DISCLAIMER, I now work for A Cloud Guru, I think we have great content. You could always sign up for a free account and check out some of the free courses and see if you like it before paying for a subscription. I don't have much experience using any other learning platform, besides Microsoft Learn which is free and great for Microsoft content :) Much luck to you and welcome to the cloud world.

I had no degree I kept changing jobs from working as labour rental sales agent Uber driver taxi driver working in prison.. but I had a passion for IT I one day made a nice cv with all the It stuff that I learnt from TH-cam etc applied for jobs .. thst didn't land a job I went and downloaded a static website about cv bought domain and voila landed a job interview.. and just after two days for the interview which was for help desk I was offered level 1.5 position.. :)
