Thank you so much Lester! Like others, had replaced the battery and still had present errors, BMW wanted at least £2000 for a feature I'd never use! You're a star!

You saved my life. For most people its the battery. But for me not. Had this error in 2019. went in to the dealership and the bill was 1700€ to replace the atm ecu. and now it came back again :( It is from water coming in through the sharkfin. The atm ecu is there. I was living with it since i cant afford that much again. I tried it and it worked! Ty.

Thank you Lester. I upgraded NBT to android auto. I installed the microphone which meant putting a mic lead (supplied) to the roof mic so it would work in android auto as well. The SOS mic warning came up even though the mic was working. It must be an anti tamper feature. 2014 Msport touring Xdrive 🙌 THANK YOU 💪 your the 👌🏾
F30 LCI 2018 works. But what is the cause of this error? For f30 lci sedan battery is located under the roof where 3rd stop light is?

Yes this worked for me. I have a 2016 F36 and it appeared slightly different: under byte 5 I had to change 0xFF to 0xF7

@user-rm5ny4ne9u did you do anything differently from the video. I’ve been trying to do it on x3 but the options in expert mode are completely different.
In my case it stopped the error from showing but it still calls the emergency services....

Worked great on my 2018 430 Gran Coupe. I couldn't stomach having to pay the dealer $200 CDN for a diagnostic, then more for something that may or may not fix the problem (based on what I have read). This (SOS feature) seems to be pointless in the day when everyone has a mobile device.

Hi is coding out the same as reset/clear code. I replaced the battery but wasn't sure where to go from the Bimmercode app to reset the fault code/warning. If anyone can share, please.

Yes it does, I am informed that the menu is slightly different but from what I understand, the important parameters that you need to change are the same.
Make sure that you are familiar with the backup procedure before you start - just to be on the safe side.
I did this sos went off but my fuel miles went from 145 mi to 224 mi, any idea why?

@@TheVreauBere download and pay for the full version of BimmerCode. Get a compatible ODB2 Bluetooth connector and start coding. Connect and go to the instrument cluster ECU, go into expert mode and find the right menu as in the video or match the words, you get close enough. Change the output on the correct value as per the video, code, and good bye fault. :)

For G series It shows a different menu, you need to look for: 300A CC_Konfiguration

Yes, almost certainly. I did it on a friend's 16 plate F20 and it worked on hers.

It works on the 6th generation of 3-series (the F## chassis) but not tried it on the older models sorry!

No, sadly not, BimmerLink is more diagnostics focused

The list of modules and options is slightly different for the X5 but essentially the procedure is the same

Hi, This coding should be the same for all F## chassis BMWs although personally I have only tried it on the F20 & F21. Make sure you're familiar with the 'restore' procedure in Bimmercode (or 'backup' procedure if using iOS) and you can't go wrong.
The F36 4-Series Gran Coupé (or fastback) is the 5 door variant of the F32 (2 door coupé) and was built between 2014 to 2020 so yours will indeed be a F36 ...and a beautiful BM I think. 👍

This is only suitable for F## chassis BMW's (F20, F30 for example)
