    J'ai hâte de voir apparaître un objectif Nikon Z 14mm F/1.2 ou F/1.8 pour l'astrophotographie !

Hello Matt, I know I have th Nikon 14mm-24mm f2.8 Z mount lens so this is not for me. But I can see quit alot of people been very interested in the super wide lens at the price they are offing it at. Should we wait to see if Nikon bring some thing similar off, I think they will and it will be better at a cost, and when? Thanks for the video. Keep well, keep safe and stay of of the wind?

Hi Matt, I'm impressed by how little distortion there seems to be across the images you showed. It looks sharp too. It'll be great to compare it to some other options on the market. I'm thinking of using this lens on one of the static video cameras at the speed skating rink. Set and forget!
    Thanks for the vid.

Nice to see a relatively compact ultrawide in a native mount. I use an IRIX 11/4 with the FTZ and love it but it is heavy and huge.

Hi Matt. I just ordered this lens. I am always interested in good "budget" lenses.
Thanks for the review of this. I live in South Gippsland, and like to travel to Melbourne every now and then for photography. I will def get there for a night shoot once the lens arrives.
    Cheers!

Matt , I am looking forward to you comparing this to the Nikon 14-30 f4 . I don't currently have anything wider that the 24-120 S lens. I know I could use something wider sometimes. Just not sure how often in normal day to day shooting. I was thinking this lens at $400 ish was an Ok alternative to the Nikon at $1200 ish. Thanks Tim

I'm impressed Matt that you actually read the manual of a lens manual I've always read the manual for the camera body absolutely but never for a lens I just chuck it on and start shooting. That's impressive. I have used their filters for a long time as they are fantastic so I'm curious how this would go on a Fuji body do they make a Fujifilm version I could use it with an adaptor as well as I have the Nikon to Fuji adaptor

Thanks for reviewing this lens Matt! I purchased this last year in March for the absolute great sun stars at a budget price....inspired to pull it out and shoot with this lens again. Best (p.s. fun to notice sunstars behind you at end of video as you were doing video)

My wide angle *budget* solution for my Z50 is a:
12mm F2 Rokinon, Sony E mount... I found a good used copy for $150.00 (Samyang makes these as well- B&H has new versions for $229.00 currently)
I added in a Fotodiox "NEX - NIK Z" manual adapter for about $25.00
And for under $200.00 I have a *budget* manual wide angle solution for my Z50. It renders very well BTW.

Is a lens that peaks a interest. Doing Milky Way and Aurora Borealis images, along with astrophotography. Doesn’t bother me that it is all manual or no exif. I am from the film age of photography and I learned long ago just write it down.

Well it does seem to make very nice sun stars! I was looking at the Viltrox 13mm for my Z50 since quite a while. But this might be a good options as well. And it is a FF lens. Hmm... tempted.

Very interesting , especially at usd $409. Don’t see it available yet at B&H. And the NiSi website. Has a price of $579 but no shipping option to the US. So I’m not sure that price is in USD. Looking forward to next vid. Thanks!

It's now up on B&H listed as special order. Black version is $407.15 (all mounts); silver variant is $479 (all except L-mount).

Not a lens I would have any use for, but it seems to perform well

No lens contacts means no EXIF data which is a big deal to me and many photographers. The lens is not for me.

    I think I could buy 15mm for my Z 5. I have a 10-20mm DX for my D5600.

What's the point of putting the lens on 3 different camera to show how it looks? Other than getting a 10 minute video from 7 mins of content...

I’ll leave you to ponder that question. See if you can come up with some alternatives 😀

Hard disagree. This is literally what I was looking for and Matt's was the first video to show the size comparison on diff bodies. Very useful. Thx, Matt.
