T&G 118 Speaker Teardown / Disassembly

- As requested the teardown / dissasenbly of the T&G TG 118 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker.
Same design as the TG 125 but this one you would have to use a heat gun in order to get the plastics on the side removed easily. I realized that if I didn't use it, I would end up cracking the plastic. Heat Guns are expensive but maybe a hair dryer might help but will take a lot longer.
The T&G 118 has 2 x 3 inch speakers, just in case you want to upgrade them or just curios what the size is.

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING!!!
When i bought my TG118 online (AliExpress, for those who wonder) it says, it's IPX5 waterproof.
IT IS NOT!!! Yesterday my speaker tipped over into the showerwater, and it was making VERY loud, distorted sounds. I was able to dry it in a blanket, aswell to muffle the sounds it was making. This morning it worked fine again, but my right speaker either blew up, or was damaged by the water. Hope that those who bought this read this before they try to use it near water! Stay safe!

They're in parallel, but they're actually low quality Lithium ion batteries. They will stop holding a charge within a month of use.

Yes you can but you also need to change out the amplifier as well

У этих колонок индикатор заряда расположен рядом с гнездом usb и перестаёт светить,при окончании. Обычно ставлю на ночь слабым зарядным устройством.

Hi, just curious what kind of glue are you using to put them back again.
During this time I use wood glue (cause that's the only thing I had). I only used it on the passive radiator.

Hello on internet searches I noticed that there are two versions of the T&G TG118, one bigger and one smaller in size, battery and Watts power of the speakers. This ai of the video is the largest TG118, size 117.2mm * 120.5mm * 283mm, with 3600mah battery or the other TG118 which is smaller? Is that in the specification of this bigger it says to be 2x 4Ω 20W, and not 2x 4Ω 10W as shown in the video.

Is it because I see websites saying that the TG118 ( that they are selling) have these specifications that I told you above, which are 2 speakers of 4Ω 20W each.

Theres a factory reset on internet it says hold power button and bluetooth button for 3 seconds

Nope, sound quality is bad.
If can't afford JBL 's just make your own with pvc and parts from parts express.
