The greatest conductor of our time was about to depart forever. What a wonderful remembrance of his talent and the musical understanding of Schubert's depth. Maybe this music has accompanied him on his way out of this world. He will always be remembered as a genius.

I am waiting with great expectation to hear all this invaluable document. I have thought several times about these last rehearsals with the Tragic symphony that never arrived to the concert. And this a complete surprise because I didn't know that this recording was done. Please, dc13, it would be amazing if you can upload the rest of the document. Thanks in advance

I'm extremely interested. Thanks for this video. It's a treasure but a little sad as well. Hearing that strong character he was, and here we realize his physical weakness, although he did recover himself. His last concert was in Monaco, June 4th. Apart of his age,(84), anybody knows the illness which caused his death?? I often burst into tears remembering him with all the material here in YT and thanks to people like you dc13 .Maestro still strong enough to shout "tiki tiki tiki".Sergiu Celibidache, love you forever. And thanks a lot again dc13. Wonderful clip.

Celibidache was not ill, only his heart stop to beat...

In some book, I read that Celibidache had an insult and basically avoided to be treated.
