Do you have the video of his rehearsal of him singing Burning Love in his pretty powder blue jacket crossed in black stripes on the front? I was 5 when I memorized it and I would sing it in the back seat of the family car when my dad was driving. And my sister always got annoyed at me. So my dad always told her to stop complaining and be proud of me instead. BTW she was 5 yrs older then me. lol

Although a top 20 hit, this is one of several 70s releases that should have been a bigger hit then and better known today. It’s a shame the song didn’t make only past this short stint Vegas - it deserved to.

🌿🍃💞°🍃🌿...Elvis' very impressive funky rock I've never heard before, sung in his fantastic bass with simple repetition of the same note and not much pitch in the tone. And his songs are all great in all versions, no difference. And it sounds a bit boring when I first hear it, but the more I listen, the more I feel the charm of this song. Thank you so much Leon for this beautiful share!!..............💚

Love this song - it's so funky and I think Elvis had a lot of fun recording this - he most definitely could sing just about anything 👑🎧🎶🎤🎵

Got last Sunday the 3 CDs boxset. I've listened to all the tracklists many many times - and will again: all terribly catchy, hypnotizing and some are definitively hot, reminding me the Blaxploitation movies atmosphere. All Elvis Stax sessions are purely terrific!!! Thanks for sharing these live renditions. Love love them all.

He almost sang it via request in College Park on September 28, 1974. He should have brought this in the setlist on the September/October 1974 tour.

I never knew Elvis sang this song live! This particular, sultry song does deserve a live performance!! Personally, I’d wish he would have sang it live much more. Thank you Leon for another amazing compilation. Happy Belated Thanksgiving. Aloha.

I love how Elvis is always coming in too early after the first chorus, throwing off the orchestra.
