Blitz works fine, Toonz. You just have to set it to true random and not set it to balanced blitz. We (regular Risk players) generally use true random blitz in competition as a defacto setting because it speeds up the game and allows a person to get more attacks in each turn.
It's alright, they just don't read the comments when we try to explain it to them... they aren't entirely playing to win, they're playing for fun (and content).

To compensate for its sheer numbers, it can’t roll above a 4

Blitz shows that you can take it not that you won’t lose your troops but the overall success rate (0% means that the enemies numbers are greater, 100% means you take the territory regardless of how many troops lost)
Blitz actually has a system to it where the percentage it displays is actually the percentage chance per dice to not die, it basically rolls all the dice for both sides at once and the highest get triggered
That’s how I think it works anyway, there is actually a strategy though where if you have a little less than twice the defending dice on the attacking side then you do in fact auto win a blitz, otherwise it is chance based
In all honesty blitz just uses rhe odds of probability, like 4 is necessary for a 100% against 1 and 6 against 2. Its shows the percentage of chance to win. It’s really not guaranteed. It helps progress the game faster.
