I am not making this up. One day, while the trial was going on, I heard two women in the parking lot of a local supermarket discussing what an asshole Amber Heard was. As I was loading my groceries into my trunk, they finished and turned to leave.
One of them got into (I know this sounds so much like stereotyping, but this is how it happened) her RAV-4 Hybrid, complete with a "Ridin' with Biden" bumper sticker, and another one that said, "Orange is the new Stupid."
The other got into her (possibly her husband's) Ram 2500 sporting a MAGA Flag mounted in those poles in the truck bed, and a couple of those magnetic things you stick on your car...one said "Stop the Steal," and the other "Let's Go Brandon."
It did my heart a world of good to see two normally polarized people agree on something like that.

Women will still be defended to the end of the Earth without proof or evidence yet tons of character evidence and history that proves they are liars and incredibly unstable.
Even if the man has a mountain of evidence to prove it was impossible for the accusations to be true - which was the case for me. The court didn't care. The judge didn't care. I was told I couldn't speak. My lawyer was told I couldn't speak and I was dragged into court repeatedly for 7 months for an accusation that I couldn't have possibly committed and zero evidence. Also spent the entire weekend in jail and was forced to sleep naked on a concrete floor.

@@sweetpatate2729 100% agree. I think people underestimate what a victim feels when recounting traumatic events. Especially in a courtroom setting where victims experience the fear of every word they say being scrutinized and used against them to defend their abuser. If Amber was actually telling the truth and had experienced horrible things done by Johnny, I'd understand the sentiment that recounting it all is the worst part.
Unfortunately, Amber is just outright lying. If she had actually been through the abuse she claims, she'd look more deformed than Quasimodo because that's what years of being punched with enough chunky rings to qualify as a knuckle duster would do to you.

That's her biggest problem. She wanted to get back at Johnny, so she invented this outrageous lie that spiraled out of control and got to a point where she couldn't stop it anymore - but that meant that either her ego had to cope with admitting she lied (the narcissist can't ever be wrong!) or to cope with admitting she was the victim of a horrible, but ultimately at least partly self-inflicted [as in: stayed way to long for the wrong reasons, any actual DV survivor will know what I'm talking about] hell of a relationship (the narcissist can't ever be seen weak!). you do realize 70% of all domestic abuse is done by both? usually it is the one who instigates and the other who uses violence. stop using your fictional idea of abuse, it is rarely ever black and white issue. theres are reason why majority of the times it comes from generational issues and majority of the time if so called victime goes back to the abuser or seeks another abuser to replace the previous.@@lscolwell

I HATE that Heard's team keeps bringing up the UK trial. She wasn't a party in that case, and it dealt with a completely different set of statements. We also know now that the judge over the trial had a material relationship with The Sun and never should have presided over the case.
It's like if you witnessed a car accident between Daryl and Wilbur and posted on social media that Daryl hit Wilbur. Daryl can take both of you to court and one trial can say you were allowed to say Daryl hit Wilbur, and another trial can also rule Wilbur was actually at fault.
Heard's team is trying to confuse the situation by, essentially, saying: "Well, this judge said it was OK that someone said Daryl hit Wilbur, so OBVIOUSLY Wilbur could not be at fault."

You're exactly right. A man who sexually assaulted me was found not guilty by a jury. The jury debriefed with the prosecutor and told him they believed me but didn't feel comfortable possibly sending him to jail. I was DEVASTATED. When the verdict was read, it took me a minute to process because I was sure he'd be found guilty. I locked myself in my room for a week after that and even considered dropping out of school for the semester to focus on recovering. It took me a full year of therapy to come to terms with my realization that people don't always get what they deserve.
Edit: so basically, a victim in this position has been incredibly traumatized by the justice system. They are more focused on trying to recover their faith in humanity than squeezing out that last bit of attention from the media. In my experience, all you want to do is hide. Your privacy has been violated in almost all ways possible and all you want to do is lick your wounds in peace.

    • @Raz.C
      @Raz.C ปีที่แล้ว +3

As I've written elsewhere, I'm convinced that this 'pause' was to make it appear that she was thinking about how to answer that question, so that viewers wouldn't know that she had already received a list of approved questions and memorised the answers to every interview question ahead of time.
It felt weird because it wasn't a natural pause. She was just counting in her head to make it seem like a genuine pause, which only made it feel even weirder.

There is a massive difference between being cancelled for voicing a controversial opinion and being cancelled for lying about someone sexually abusing you to destroy their career, get a favorable divorce settlement and potentially landing them in jail. Even more so when it turns out that she was actually the perpetrator. There is no punishment severe enough for Heard in my opinion.

I don't know about anyone else, but since 1990 I have been wondering what Doctor he saw that was able to replace his scissors with actual hands.

Who would have guessed that SOME of the things that appear in films aren't real!? Hey do you all remember that time the Statue of Liberty walked around New York City? Man those zany ghostbusters, they were always up to something weren't they.

I’ve never heard of a truly abused woman act the way she does. It denies human nature… starting fights, verbally pushing him, coming out and making a big public scene, the way she defends herself. None of it is believable.

Even assuming I believe everything she says in the trial, she's a mutual abuser in the relationship, as prone to starting the fight as he is and not an abused woman. Then the believability of her stories of abuse come in with their lack of evidence and I can't believe a word she says.
