They both wink and say "lucky you," but it's what they say before "lucky you" and when they wink that makes the difference between the meaning behind their wink.
IDK if you guys got why Blake was so fixated on the SDC crate (Shnee dust company). The mine that they went to was the one where Ilia's parents died. SDC was also the letters that were branded on Adams Eye. Also the reason Tyrian eyes went purple is because his Semblance is Poison aura, he can drain someones aura, if he touches someone's Aura, it fades away from the area he touched, leaving the victim vulnerable to attacks.
This may also be a callback to his comment at Jaune when he fought RNJR in V4; he had an interest in Jaune. I think he was interested to see if his semblance could beat Jaune's aura, given that both semblances are literal polar opposites.
@@the_enderslayer ? If you are reffering to his fight with Qrow then that is not the case. They lost their aura few moments before he struck with his sting.
Jaune's shield has hard-light dust (blue color) projecting from the edges. He can also project a blast of gravity dust (purple color) from the crest on the center of the shield.
I don't think Qrow and Clover's semblances void each other out so much as compliment one another. Qrow's semblance makes him slip on the ice, Clover's has him catch Qrow before he hit the ground. Qrow's nearly causes a cave in, Clover's opens a wall, weakened by the damage, that leads them exactly where they need to go.
Was not expecting Eric to know of the Japanese technique Kintsugi that was used to repair Blake's weapon. Though, I guess if it did show up in Star Wars, that makes sense. =) So many new weapons, weapon improvements, and semblances this chapter. Somewhat sad that team RWBY and Oscar conversing about how their actions were very similar to Ozpin's wasn't given much focus, but definitely understandable given how many new concepts were introduced here.
While it's cool that they paid homage to a real-world technique, it was poorly thought out, with regard to the physics. Because there was already a breaking point in Blake's sword, the minute any sort of pressure was exerted on the blade, it would snap again. Probably should have just got a new weapon.
@@MasterPoppers Oh, definitely. But I don't think physics is always the first major point that is kept in mind in the RWBY universe. Otherwise, Ruby would probably suffer major fractures to her bones every time she tried to pogo jump with Crescent Rose's recoil... Plus, from an animation perspective, it would have taken a lot more resources to create the model of the new weapon, add rigging to it, learn a new combat style with the weapon, and integrate it with Blake's fighting style itself, when they may have already been rather busy with developing Atlus and Mantle.
@@MasterPoppers Aura covers weapons, it's how Kali was able to use a tea tray to deflect bullets and how Blake and Pyrrha were able to use bread like swords.
