Very nice video, everything is super informative but when I try to sew the fabric won't glide, it just stays and for moving it I have to pull is as if its stuck under the j foot, help ;c this is my first sewing machine and my first time using one
The video was very helpful! I do wish it had covered which settings were to be used with the quarter inch quilting foot. I noted that when I put that foot on, the needle position is not accurate and since there is no “letter” assigned to the foot, I don’t have options for it in the settings. Maybe I am overthinking this, but want to make sure the needle settings are appropriate for the foot.

The upper thread could be tangled. Remove the upper thread and any loose threads. Raise the pressure foot, raise the needle to its highest position and rethread the machine. Remove the bobbin and bobbin case to clean any lint or loose threads.
I used the machine to make an appliqué quilt with the zig zag stitch 05, it worked fine till about 3/4 of the quilt was made and I started having trouble but somehow camouflaged the stitches and finished the quilt. Now 3 months later I’m making a similar quilt and nothing I do to adjust the tension is fixing the stitch, it’s perfect on the bottom but the top does not get fixed. I am using yellow thread on top and white on the bobbin and I see perfect white zigzag on the bottom but I see mostly white and very little yellow thread on top. Can someone help me fix this.

It is most likely a tension issue. Investigate what tension you need to use for quilting. It is heavier material.
