This is a video I was gonna do years ago. I have a few tricks to add to this. Maybe when I feel like doing a video in the future. Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot and as always done with a lot of pleasure.
I hope you like Part 2 also.
That's a more profound video about using samples.
I used it now for drum&bass but for every kind of music you could use tempo-synced filter and amplifier LFOs.
The MV is overlooked and underestimated.
With this unit I'm really able to create music with #hardwareonly.
I've never seen another standalone unit what can do so much.

Great walkthrough midi man, the mv is well suited to arranging the amen break. Getting the arrangement to sound natural is the key element to old jungle. Listening to old jungle the bass line, is sparse but dominates the low frequency. Great if you could do part 2 , interplay between break and bass line.

      Thank you!
And yes, I decided to do a follow up to add Bass and to create multiple patterns!

Congrats on your MPC one! You will enjoy it for sure.
Well, the MV was indeed an advanced machine for its time. And still it is, I think.
Great machine for working without a DAW.

Cool demo. Could you keep all the different versions of the step recordings you tried and assign those to pads to trigger?

    • @theMIDImaniac
      @theMIDImaniac  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, of course! That's an excellent way to create multiple breaks for a more intensive track! :D
I will do a follow up where I add Bass and where I have multiple patterns to create eventually an almost complete track.

@@theMIDImaniac awesome. I'm learning the ropes on a Fantom g and getting lots of ideas to try. Your demo also helped me understand some things I've heard on a squarepusher album I like. Appreciate your work.

Hey my friend Roger, hope you're good...
Could you make a video about the recording of a song, that doesn't contain any MV sound, only external gear and if you can show us step by step all the progerss, using the MV just like a hard disk recorder.
I know you have already make a video showing the mastering power of our beloved instrument, so if you could make a video showing step by step all the recording process, that would be great...
    Thanx a lot my friend...\\\

      Hey there my musical friend!
Yes, all ok here. Tomorrow schools finally begin so after having the kids 6 months at home we can start again with a kind of routine.
      Hope you're good too.
Regarding the question: It's funny because you're the second person this week with the same question. So, reason enough to dive into it.
I'm very busy with my new job (Zumba Teacher :D) but I will find time.
Yeah...I already have my own business for 7 years and now I do something besides it...DANCING and giving classes hahaha.
      Never too old ;-)
      We stay in touch!
