It's time to tackle the bigger question. Why does this EU rule exist, ie a migrant has to stay in the first country they enter? Just a look at the geography: a migrant can enter the EU via very few places, mainly Greece, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria. So even though they're heading further north and west, those countries have to take the responsibility, and house and administrate large numbers of people. That makes it hellish for the migrants and difficult for local populations. It's an absurd rule.
That rule exists around the world. You are a refugee only until you enter the first safe country after that you are a migrant. These people have passed through several safe countries before even coming near to Europe and they should have stayed there. Just because they want a better life economically doesn’t mean anyone has to give it to them.
