Wales v New Zealand: battle for title of world's steepest street

Residents of Harlech in north Wales believe their town is home to the world's steepest street, Ffordd Pen Llech, which has a claimed gradient of 36%. The current holder of the title is Baldwin Street in Dunedin, New Zealand, with a gradient of 35% at its steepest point. Guinness World Records will decide later this month

The street in NZ is clearly consistently steeper than the image of the one in Wales- Wales may have a steeper point, but I argue that it should be an average steepness, not a "steepest point".

I'd guess the streets in Colombia are much steeper... Get yourself to Barrio - El castillo in Medellin..they are ridiculously steep!

Nice try Wales. Your sheep delivery bypass track has passed 5 meters of the brick test, failed the skateboard test and will also fail the Guinness test. But good news. You can see the real deal when you visit Dunedin where we also gave a castle or two.

I believe Wales holds the title of the steepest. Either way it's only a road. Though NZ is better maintained by the looks of it.
