While responding to a domestic violence call on August 1, 2019, Police Officer Paulie Lewis of the Weare, New Hampshire Police Department was shot in the line of duty. Paulie received multiple gunshots to his right arm, starting a years-long recovery process that continues to this day. Paulie has chronicled his recovery on Tik-Tok, amassing over a million followers, and serves as an inspiration to other critically wounded police officers around the country.
