    So good to see the work Marine Conservation Philippines is doing. I have had a few friends who have done their divemaster course there, and absolutely loved it! This is a stunning representation! Did you get a chance to visit there?

      Thanks very much! Yes I was lucky enough to be there for a month and spent some time filming alongside assisting with reef surveys. This was filmed back in 2015, so it’s come a long way since then too!

    Its a world treasure and food basket, not only for the Philippines. So let us protect and conserve this God’s gift. ❤

    Nice video. I'm a wildlife illustrator from Singapore. Just return from subic to learn diving last week and meet up with other filpino conservationist friends. Its such a nice heavenly place there.

    My daughter is planning to come to your place to volunteer for a few month beginning of next year. After I read the wonderful in depth email correspondence she had with Soren and now also watching the videos I FEEL VERY GOOD about her decision! 😊👍🏻👍🏻
    Thank you for the great work you are providing. I can feel all the love and dedication you are bringing into it! Thank you also in the name of Mother Nature…and all her children.😉😊🙏🏻

    The best thing to let marine ecosystem be more alive is to appoint marine biologist to be an oil corporate board of directors of multi national group of companies.

    wish you could establish seahorse conservation in Leyte

    • @MattJarvisMedia
      @MattJarvisMedia  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Joel Obando This is certainly something in the future that MCP may be able to look at, perhaps not yet on Leyte, but around where they are currently based for now. They do dives examining baseline seahorse abundances at the local dive sites around Zamboanguita. However you must bear in mind that this is a brand new organisation and so is currently very small and expanding. Perhaps this is a project they will be able to focus on once there is more manpower and support from the local government, and the public - this is really what it takes to help small and dedicated conservation organisations such as MCP.

      Hope that MCP staff will help the visayas state u in baybay leyte develop their college of Marine Biology, Forestry and Environmental Science and teach in the future as it is also home for some international students.

      MCP is very willing to work with organisations and institutions with the same goal, to conserve the seas and local communities around the area.
