I love my scorpion, CZ is a great manufacturer. The appeal of a PCC (For me) is that it is an affordable platform, I feel like the Scorpion makes the most sense, as it is affordable. MPX is 2K, and MP5 is 3K, they're all great guns, but in my opinion a PCC just isn't worth that much. The Scorpion is the perfect PCC in my eyes, reliable, durable, customizable, and affordable.

I love my Ruger PC carbine in 9mm. It uses pistol mags and has an 18.5" barrel so I can hunt with it in Canada. Fun to shoot and really accurate, even out to 100 yards with the red dot. Clay
I have a MPX Copperhead K and it is one of if not THE funnest gun to shoot. Zero recoil what so ever. Fits in a backpack with the 35 round mag loaded. All metal monolithic upper it’s a badass little gun. It isn’t cheap but not as expensive as a MP5 and I guarantee it will out perform every other PCC. Plus it’s controls are very much AR like so you don’t have to learn or get used to a new platform.
CZ scorpion is a great platform. Lots of aftermarket upgrades available and affordable. Recoil is nothing as my 70 year old mother and 10 year old daughter have put hundreds of rounds through mine.

I own the CZ scorpion 3+. I love it and its now my favorite. Its equipped with a SB folding brace and a YHM R9 supressor. Its the best bang for the buck. I paid around 649 around black friday, with the 100 dollars off. Can I support buying a MPX or SP5, well not really with the CZ being a big value. People complain about the past scorpion models mags dont work, well I dont old one, so its a non issue to me.

@@HarrisonCountyStudio Or the heavy bolt is part of what accounts for "felt recoil". I have a 9mm blowback AR and even with an appropriate weighted and length buffer and spring, it jumps around back and forth more than any 9mm PCC should. A lit of what you are feeling is the bolt moving around, not actual recoil from the round itself.
😅Just another direct blowback AR-9 with a hydraulic buffer. A lazy solution(expensive to replace) that doesn't bring anything new to the table. Don't even get as compact as an APC9. If you really want something that looks and feels like an AR but in 9mm, SPC9 PDW might be a much better choice.
@@gregorypatzelt6964 I wouldn't pay HK(as a civilian) unless you really like that name. Zenith or Century both have some good mp5 clones at the price point between EVO3 and MPX. I just hate the weight and controls of an mp5, its action is king in 9mm PCC for sure tho. For 2.5k or above, I would just skip 9mm altogether and get a Rattler if we are talking defensive use. It is the size and weight of a MPX-K but uses much superior ammo, and with all the AR controls and mags. When loaded with subs and suppressed, it is stupidly flat, quiet, and fast to shoot. Still jumps less than EVO3 or AR9 when using supers.
I watched your 1st video of the MPX the morning you uploaded. By noon that day I bought one. (Did you receive your commission?) I can't even describe how much fun it is to shoot!
MPX is $2,000+. I built a 45acp AR 15 that shoots way softer than the Sig for $800. The dot does not move and it makes big holes. I shoot in in IDPA PCC.
After watching your video on the S&W FPC, I bought one. I don't see how you could have any more fun with PCC at 3 times the price. It is soooo much fun to shoot. I have a Holosun 510 green circle dot optic on mine.
I love my Carbine. It’s compact and easy to point with the stock folded in. With the stock extended, and using the factory open sights, I easily place shots on 10” steel from 50yds out to 150 yds…. No problem. If my 50+ year old eyes were better, I could probably hit our 200 yd steel with more regularity. The CZ Scorpion is just fun.

They used to make an EVO3 S2 version with a 4.4-inch barrel inside the metal M-Lok handguard, which can fit a can partially inside of it. Telescopic brace. Mighty fine PDW for not much money. Most direct blowback PCCs are jumpy tho, more jumpy than many rifles. On the other hand, adding a hydraulic buffer is a lazy solution that definitely does not justify selling them for over 2k, IMHO.
@@JohnZ556 the weapon in the video is a far cry from the early CZ Scorpion. I first started looking into it when I saw it on Forgotten Weapons. I think there is a lot of merit in having what I call a truck gun. Or as many call them a Personal Defense weapon. I was a Marine infantryman with three combat Deplyments and I love the AR/M16A4/M4 family just because that’s what I have used for years of combat time carrying it. I know the weapon deeply and love it. So that’s my fighting battle rifle. But I like the ability to have options besides a handgun which I’m not really as proficient with to be honest… to be able to get to The Rifle. Something more concealable than a full sized rifle (assembled and ready) but with more “giddy up” than a pistol. More easily put into use in a vehicle.
They offer a Micro version of the pistol which is a 4” barrel, a pistol version with an 8” barrel and a 16” carbine. Overall length between the pistol and micro version is only about 2 inches due to the micro having a faux suppressor.

I think the purpose of the weapon for me personally would be just as an “Uber pistol” or a weapon that’s ergonomical enough to allow me to put those pistol rounds on target efficiently, very concealable, more of just a very handy way to get to an actual rifle and to use in the confines of a vehicle. I like the PDW concept. I bought a PS-90 and am waiting to SBR it with a standard (non NFA nonsesnse mandatory 16” or whatever it is. They went out of their way to pin the stupid thing in place so it’s a nightmare to remove without a smithy) barrel I just got for it to turn it into a P-90 without the automatic trigger pack (and other modifications). I like the CZ too. Penny saving time!
@@jastrapper190 In that case, Sig Rattler would be a better fit for you. Better ballistics sub(better than 45acp) or super(nearly 7.62x39); only need to flip the gas regulator. Same control as AR, pretty good trigger. Has less recoil than any blowback 9mm PCC, I mean it has nearly no recoil when shooting sub, even supers are less jumpy than EVO3 or AR9. It can be folded to 16" OAL(shorter than PS90 SBR) with a thin stock/brace, so it is not too wide for packing and about as compact as you can get.

I have both and they are easy to clean. The mpx barrel needs to be removed when you want to clean out the plunger which may require a reZero on your optic. The Sig finish scratches easily. To be honest, I take my scorpion on trips and my mpx stays home. I’ve never had a malfunction in the scorpion and several with the mpx. Sig customer service is also among the worst I have dealt with.
Pity they're not going to be legal here in Australia. Still, at least I can enjoy seeing you have fun with them. BTW, there is such a thing as a rifle-calibre pistol, such as the .475 Wildey Magnum.

But I actually enjoy shooting the EP9 more, and it sells for around $400. American made in Arizona. Amazing value.
9mm pccs shoot cheap ammo shared among other guns, so you should already have plenty of it ready. If you got the money for a 9mm pccs that costs $2000+, you could have used a better caliber like 300 blackout, built it with $900, used the cost difference to buy the more expensive ammo, and now you have a PDW that has better performance with subsonics and superior performance with supersonics, all with the same recoil impulse. Gas impingement, lever delayed, roller delayed, none of them matter if the cost outweighs choosing a better caliber.
I just purchased a scorpion without a stock or brace, I’m new to the gun world and would like to put one on. Is it legal in FL? I’ve heard so many mixed messages and I really don’t want to give the atf 200 dollars if I can help it.

i had the opportunity to play around with the scorpion, but wasn't terribly impressed. on the other hand, the ar15 i picked up right after that was a different story. probably comparing apples to oranges, but there you go.

The MPX comes in two sizes, 4 inches and 18inches. It seems a bit crazy.

As I understand it, the newer Scorpion 3+ has an updated grip and safety that are much improved from the Evo.
Yea it does just picked one up recently the grip angle is very different and a lot better to the point where i dont feel the need to change it out

I have both and honestly i love my MPX more. However, when it comes to magazines, parts and upgrades the scorpion wins in that aspect.

I just purchased a scorpion without a stock or brace, I’m new to the gun world and would like to put one on. Is it legal in FL? I’ve heard so many mixed messages and I really don’t want to give the atf 200 dollars if I can help it.
Has the atf disclosed if we can use our braces on short barrel carbines again? Only had mine for a year before they decided theyre a felony without a tax stamp
It appears the ATF does not get their way on this one after all; judges have overruled them on it.

i had the opportunity to play around with the scorpion, but wasn't terribly impressed. on the other hand, the ar15 i picked up right after that was a different story. probably comparing apples to oranges, but there you go.
