Loved it when I heard it that night (@festival hall in melbs few days prior to this) 20odd yes ago and still love it today - one of their best songs and it never even made it as a B Side.. bloody goosebumps still to this day!!!
Of course, not exactly a swear word. But even "idiot" is quite a rare expression in a Coldplay song. I think Violet Hill must be the only other song with "idiot". Same with the term "goddamn". As many Coldplay songs have a christian message, even a tiny bit of blasphemy is a very unusual ;) But I love how Will is laughing in the end when Chris finishes the song kind of black metal style! Perhaps they made no studio version cause they only wanted to play it live when they felt a bit "evil" xD

OH Chris you are and were waaaaaaay better than this song! I'm a huge Coldplay fan (coldplayer) and I love all their songs and like all their/his covers. This song pains me. Well guess it's good to see how they've grown into the band I love 💙
