A few hours a day in a warm house with wool socks . Use the balm , and take your time . Thats how i used to break in new danner army boots when i was in. Yeah I got a pair of DocMartens about 1.5 years ago and I don't like to wear them because I always get blisters on my heel and the side of my foot. I always wear them with two pairs of socks and often put bandaids on my feet as well. I got the Jaidens which probably wasn't the smartest choice considering they are so hard to break in and my feet are apparently quite sensitive. But I will try the heat thing and I'm gonna squeeze them a bit to hopefully make it a more pleasant experience. I do love how they look and I do plan on getting more Docs in the future.

Also for the hair dryer/heat trick, it’s better to wear them and only heat them into the the leather is lightly warm and walk in them. The way the leather is made, it will be come super brittle and it’ll crack the leather. I’m pretty sure 99% of docs have a plastic coatings on the outside. Get a leather milk and rub the insides down lightly just make sure to put something down so it won’t soak into the midsole and ruin it

You're right, those methods can be pretty harsh on the leather. It’s always best to be cautious and stick to safer, more traditional methods of breaking in boots to avoid damaging them. Have you found a technique that works well for you without risking the integrity of the boots?

Have you tried shaving cream? That's supposed to help break in leather

@@Fodaysway haha, it supposedly works similar to a conditioner, so you'd work it onto the leather and let it soak in

The urine treatment...??! It's the uric acid. There are natural receptors in human skin for uric acid made in the body, not just expressed in the way you are mentioning. Urine, for it's uric acid, is also used by Native American people to cure leather from game caught for food and other resources. Maybe leather,
    i. e. skin from animals! has the same natural receptors and can soften with treatment of uric acid from, um...what you said ❤😂❤
