@@mauriciolacruz Assuming the emulator matches the actual calculator, the Graph 35+EII allows the language to be set to English, Español, Deutsch, Français, Português, or Italiano. The default is French (Français) and I think the manual is only in French, but you can pretty much just use the fx-9860giii manual in the language of your choice.
I set my Casio GRAPH 90+E in English with no problem and as far as I remember there were several common other European languages you can choose the graph 90 +E is the French equivalent of the CG50 but with flashing LED close to the USB port when you download the system update for the Graph90+E. I noticed there is CG50 in the filename you get from the casio website. so I guess it's exactly the same machine. the flashing led must be visible for the examination staff during your exam cheers

Wow! That takes for ever on my fx-991 ES Plus. I had to press AC to break out of the calculation. On my Casio CG50 it's a doddle - solved in under two seconds.

I cannot comment on what is required for your engineering course. It may be a graphing calculator is required or is an advantage. You would have to do the course and see. If you struggle to visualise graphs, it may be worthwhile considering a graphing.
Hey yeah I have this calculator and it says on the manual be careful not to press the on button whilst putting the batteries in- I pressed it accidentally while putting it together now it won’t turn on even after restarting

At this point I don't see why does the 9860 still exist, while the Casio listing price is lower than cg50, I've never seen an actual price difference between those that's significant (5 euro max), and the cg50 is just better in every way. Having owned both (the gii), not having to guess the pixels say in my opinion is worth every penny of the 4 euro price difference I paid for teh cg50 when my gii broke. Great video as always!
Good question. Not a huge amount from initial impressions. The fx-9860GIII has: Python; Longer typical battery life (230 vs 200 hrs); probably more memory (not sure on the specs of this though). From what I can tell it's only really incremental improvements It will probably get continuing software support from Casio whereas they may start to lessen updates for the fx-9860GII but this is just speculation. If you have a fx-9860GII I wouldn't rush out to get this. If I was buying new, you would probably just by this newest model, but TBH for a little bit more I'd get the fx-CG50.

Not really. Here in the U.S. I own both and except for the color screen and the ability to do 3D graphing on the CG50 , they are about equal in capability. Also a color screen is definitely nice, but in math it is not essential. It is actually better to buy the fx-CP400. Then you are getting a significant upgrade in capability.
I am looking forward to buying a cheap graphical calculator for SAT and AP Calculus AB. I was looking through the FX 9860 series but was not able to contemplate the differences between GII and GIII. Can you recommend which one should I go for with respect to the exam perspective since GIII is a newer model and may not be accepted at some test centres?
I can't really say for certain as that is down to your school, but the GIII is just an update to the GII. I think either should be fine and you may find the GII is lower in price now.

I would go for the fx-CG50. It’s full colour and has all the apps you need. The new TI Nspire II is good but personally, I don’t get on with it very well. It depends what you’ve used before. If you’re used to Casio, you can’t go wrong with the CG50
the FX9860GII/SD has a SDK software, a C compiler and a linker offered by CASIO allowing you to create simple applications for the calculator. Does the FX9860GIII has something similar?
Honestly IDK, but I think some have commented about this before. It usually takes time for them to offer such facilities, if they are different from the previous version, but the same things may be compatible as it is an upgraded version rather than a brand new graphic..

Does it have the same API in the firmware? ... if so, may be the SDK available for the FX9860GII can be easily adapted to the new calculator and it will take just a couple of weeks for that.
I' am not too sure myself as I don't usually involve myself too much. Maybe Reddit and Github are the places to look. The calculator is still relatively new so there may not be too many yet.

The Fx-9860GIII is essentially the updated version of the Fx-9860GII. The Fx-9860GII will be phased out of sale, so it is best to go with the most recent iteration. However, there isn't really a great deal of difference between them, so if you spot a great deal on a 9860GII then it's no problem. The Fx-9860 models have better features than the fx-9750 such as Natural Display and a backlight, some others too.
Why would they advertise it with a backlight blue display, when it doesnt have that, its dark display, werry hard to see whats on the screen if your not in a werry bright room

No sé cuales programas de topografía usas y donde los encontrastes. Lo que debes revisar es en qué lenguaje fue hecho el programa para ver si puedes modificarlo(está el Casio Basic, LUA, C, MicroPython). Casio por alguna razón ya no ofrece el SDK que permite hacer programas en C. La verdad para casio creo que hay muy pocos programas, principalmente debido a que esa marca casi siempre ha sido tacaña con la cantidad de memoria que ofrece y las limitaciones de las implementaciones de lenguajes de programación que usa. Yo hace dos semanas compré la CG50, pero siendo sincero, lo único bueno que me llamó la atención fue la pantalla a color. A mi me gustan la calculadoras sólo por la programación, pero Casio se queda muy corto en eso. Yo he programado para la HP49G y 50G y de verdad que hay muchos más programas para estos y las Texas Instruments. Yo soy ing. industrial y si fuera estudiante lo primero que haría es buscar qué programas existen para el modelo y marca que me puedan servir, por ejemplo para mi caso está el HPTora que me sirve mucho en Investigación de Operaciones. Hay páginas como HpCalc y TIcalc que tienen muy bien organizados los programas a diferencia de cemetech o casiocalc donde no encuentras mucho (por ejemplo no he encontrado nada del método simplex)

I am hoping that you have got a genuine version of the Casio as unfortunately there are some fakes and forgeries around. You might want to try replacing the batteries and also restarting (there should be a little push in button on the back). If this doesn't work then, as with any faulty goods, you need to return it to where you purchased it from.

the fx-cg50 is a much better buy if you're buying calculators at this price point

I agree. At it’s current price it is worth spending a little more and get the CG50. It may come down over time though,.
