You can see why he is the champion racer . I’ve learned so so much information about these engines helps me to have some of the best running engines. I can’t wait to try this sleeve pinch technique on some of my engines! I’ve seen many videos on repinching techniques but I would have to say this method and explanation is spot of for a top running engine. After all this guy should definitely know about correct pinch height in a nitro engine. Thanks bro for the always invaluable advice and tips. Keep up the good work. Ps Would love to get a hold of one of your worn out race engines for the mantle piece
I'm saying this cause its true an i seen you do things like help pple that weren't even running what you had as sponsors an still helped pple out an i appreciate you an everything you continue to do with the hobby no matter what you are running its a positive thing an you are blessed for who you are 4 real ty
I actually believe a pinched engine can be faster than a new engine. I had an os vz-b engine that was pinched and because the rest of the engine was nicely worn in and running well, refreshing the pinch for a better bang made it go so fast it was unreal.
My mate had a "guy" repinch my motor before philippine masters last year. This motor is still going strong. I believe the "guy" was my mate which is a die hard nitro lover who has a few nitro race boats. And loves nitro methane Now I'm certain this is the case. He told me never to ebis a engine with a random. I think I know those secret nitro gods.😊
There are a number of different tools out there. The tool I use from B Mods Racing was only available for a short time and produced in low volume. The tool looks very simple, but the detailed and precise machining is what makes it work well.
Gotta love when ppl send their motors out to get modded and that happens? Just buy an OS B21 AD2 and you would never have to do any of that crap. Also, can you clarify something Adam. When it comes to racing, would you want to run a aluminum or plastic Venturi? What is the difference? I would say heat is the main, and you would never want a plastic Venturi when your racing?
I agree, no need to modify today's production engines. When I ran for Nova I use plastic venturi and at the end of my time with Nova we switched to aluminum, but didn't notice much of a difference. With OS, I've always used aluminum venturi. I would think the aluminum venturi would be a bit more consistent throughout long runs.
CBR Wix I’m not sure if it’s the same for these engines. But on high performance engines, the whole intake from filter to intake manifold base should be fairly cool. So I would assume the plastic Venturi wouldn’t melt
@@THEDnARACER not saying it would melt at all, as it wouldn't. I am just stating for racing or even bashing having an aluminum venturi would 100% provide more consistency just as Adam has stated. I know ppl who do use them for bashing just not for racing.
CBR Wix that would still mean that it would be getting heated throughout the race. If the carb stays cool, there should be no deforming/loss of performance. Like I said I’m not sure though. I’ve never personally looked at that on one of my nitros
Good info bro! Ive used about 5 of the top engine builders! On os, novas, and pico based engines! And so fare rcrenew is the best in my opinion! Lance heidman! Very professional guy! Anyway just my 2 sence! Great video again mr nitro ambassador! Another ??? How often should you look to replace your conecting rod? Pease out!💨⛽🇺🇸😎
Great vid an info not saying my break inn is better then yours at all but if i dont have time to do it i trust an believe you an you are the engine an just tha man been doing this a very long time so thankx an if there was a president for the hobby you have my vote so bigg thankx to you for the information an vidz greatly appreciate your time an all you do

Do a walk through tutorial in regards to resizing and resources needed to do the job correctly.

Agree if it's been done correct.

I always heard about resizing, but never seen THE tool. Can we see it please? Thanks for the video

Thanks for the pinch adam- great service
Our pleasure! Thanks!
Hello Adam, any advice to repinch a .15 .18 for touring car like hpi, duratrax, like motors
How much piston skirt to cylinder clearance should I have? (Nova Rossi type Mega.21 on road)
Very informative. Thanks Adam .
My pleasure!
Ya know what cures a issue like this... A brand new outa the box Adam Drake Engine... :).... rip 2 gallons...repeat...
Robbie Diamond or even at least replace just the sleeve, rod, and piston.
Yes sir!
hi i have a lrp zz.21c and it has no pinch and is super free, but when i put head back on it has alot of compression, is that normal thanks
That second sleeve looked like it was probably repinched with a hose clamp.
No kidding. Haha

Very nice! With OS and Nova based engines in off-road you should be able to get 10-12 gallons before needing to replace the rod.
Will you repinch any engine I need a old picco .28 repinch Ed everything else on the engine is good just no pinch
Yes, it works well.
Aren't you supposed to put the hint on the top of the sleeve? Not in the middle. Just saying
mic out the piston and cylinder for honing?
?

What is "The tool" are you using?
The tool I use is from B Mods Racing, isn't available anymore.
@@AdamDrake OK thanks Adam 👍✌️
How long does the engine last, when you resize the sleeve......?
If everything is in good shape, just low on compression it will usually extend the life of the engine by 2-3 gallons. In some cases even more.
How did 3 people dislike this?
Haha. It happens sometimes. :)
They didn't! many times I've accidentally touched the thumbs down while holding my phone. Nobody thumbs downs....The Drake! 😎😎
Adam. Did Novarossi go out of business?☹️
I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem good.
@@AdamDrake that’s crippling. I pray that’s not true.
😎✌
:)
Good video! Send me those junk ones Adam, I can fix them.
Thank you sir!
@@louisthomas18 Huh? I am Rex
@@TheRwmods I think he mentioned you in the video!
hi adam can u not do a video of u resizing a sleeve for us
I'll need to think about that one. Don't want to show all my tricks. Haha
@@AdamDrake I knew you were gonna say that! but maybe a rundown of what tools to use and an overview? Work with me here man! Lol
Do it for the people in Europe 😂 what a shame we cannot use your services due to the high cost of delivery.
