- The DASH Mini Maker Griddle is a 4" griddle. It's so cute we just had to review it and we are glad we did! Watch as we put it to the test.

Paint the top and bottom with a stick of butter.Plug in. Scramble egg and sliced fully cooked sausage with a little hot sauce. cook 3-4 minutes. searve on bun or English Muffin.Breakfast

I got mine today and I LOVE IT!!!! So much fun! I made hash browns and flour tortillas ;p. LOVE IT! especially because I live alone, and I didn’t want a big grill on my counter. This one packs away so easily and the plates are really non-stick. It didn’t even need the oil spray. Great little grill!

Never underestimate the value of cute!!!! As a testament to how much I like cute I've got a garage full of it. Now if I just had 5 very large kitchens I'd be all set. Regardless, I see one of these in my future. How can I resist... Useful and cute. Great review girls.

Your review stirred up a memory (could you hear the rocks hitting together?) and I went down cellar and found my vintage 1975 Hamilton Beach Little Mac 60 second burger machine with Joe Namath's picture on the box. I plugged it in and it still heats up.
I found a commercial on TH-cam and in it Broadway Joe said that it was great for cooking "anything that can go between 2 slices of bread".
This is rectangular shaped and has 3 easily separated major pieces, the top that has the heating element (not immersible), the bottom that catches the grease (and can be immersed for washing) and a reversible grid for the center.
Each of the 3 pieces have 5 inch long handles so you can open it without burning your fingers.
The top heating element measures 4 1/2 inches square. The grid s burger side can handle a burger patty up to 4 1/8 inches in diameter and the sandwich side has a capacity of 4 1/4 inches square. The grid also has 8 drain holes to let grease to drain to the bottom half.
The top half can be set on top of the bottom half with the heating side up to use as a small griddle if you want to fry an egg.
It was a going away gift from my parents in late 1975 when I moved 6 hours away for a job and used it a lot for several months in the motel kitchenette before I went in with some other people into an apartment and didn't use it much after that.
I remember loaning it to my youngest sister in law when she attended college and she returned it in good shape.

I use this gadget everyday for breakfast, I make 2x eggs, 1 sausages patty and a hash brown with it, I really love it.

I have one of those and I absolutely love it. The perfect one serving maker. Cooks one egg,Small pancakes , cookies and is even great for a single hamburger patty.

For off grid living with a small solar set up this seems to work quite well.
I’ve just made corn/bacon/spinach/cheese thingies.
Very tasty.
About 1/4 cup of batter or filling seems to work best.

Made two waffles this morning first was perfect 2nd one to much batter.

Thanks for reviewing this. Y’all are too cute. If my oldest son saw the part of the chocolate chip cookie he’d probably buy one and keep it in his room. I was cracking up though when y’all were talking about plugging it in your RV. I hope I don’t sound ugly because I don’t mean what I am saying next that way. Most RVs have full kitchens so we don’t have to cook our eggs over the campfire. My motorhome has everything my home kitchen has except for a dishwasher and some have those too. Although I did just get a Dash mini waffle maker because it wouldn’t take up much space in the RV. But I want a full carb waffle, not a Keto one. Thanks for the review.
I`m guessing these will work with 500 watt solar power stations since these mini grills are 350 watts. I`m getting a couple for power outages and solar cooking. I also have a 12 volt 100 watt mini rice cooker that works with my small power stations with 10 amp cigarette lighter ports and a 12 volt 120 watt immersion water heater for cups that works with them too.
I got mine today. Excited to try it for potato pancakes and also grilled cheese sandwich. Just the right size for the grandkids.

Interesting. This is similar to the Red Copper 5 Minute Chef, but slightly smaller. This seems priced to sell, whereas the 5 Minute Chef was originally $40 (I believe it's $20 now), which I thought was overpriced. Nice video ladies.

Because of this video, I decided to buy my grand daughter the little Dash for her tenth birthday. I started to look around afterwards and found that Groupon has a set of three that includes one waffle maker and a grill. I decided to keep the little Dash and give my granddaughter the set of three that I purchased called the Mini Personal Griddle set which I bought in pink , yellow and blue. I compared the models and they are exactly the same.

moviemakerwannabe I'd forgotten about those. I used it for everything that would fit into it. Seems like I had a round one mostly for burgers and later a square one that I used mostly for grilled sandwiches but I tried all sorts of things...pork chops, steak, shrimp, fish, chicken. Worked great. Need to check out the garage. I never throw stuff away.
Rosemary, Me too! Mine was a life saver. I got it as a wedding present and our first rental home had no hookup for gas or electric cooking stove. Until we could get a different house it was my cooking stove, LOL.

oh i like this i could use it around the kitchen, and i am always craving for some fresh baked cookies but hate heating the house up. its kinda hard for the tent camper to use when there isnt any electricity to plug into but for the RV'er it would work great. i have been thinking of getting a blackstone 17" gas griddle to use when camping they are only like $79 and you could use it at home on the deck too. decisions decisions. what another great review.

ken strampe They both have good uses one you can make your own McDonald's breakfast goodies you like
instead of having to go through long drive thru and deal with the heat and rude ppl and a Blackstone you can cook a nice juicy steak with green peppers and onions and corn on the cob without worrying about having to put out the fire when grease drop through it..
I thought mine wasn't heating right on top so I flip whatever I use it for after two minutes so the top gets brown, too. My waffle Dash gets evenly brown on both sides. I was glad to see that yours has more browning on the bottom, too. I like the smoothe surface to make flat keto breads.

I absolutely *love* Dash small kitchen appliances! I use my Rapid Egg Cooker *all* the time. I really want their Rapid Cold Brew System, it's quite highly rated but it's $100 on Amazon and I haven't been able to bite the bullet yet, lol

bought 2 at the last Kroger Christmas sale for $2.50 each figuring id give them as gifts, tried one for omlettes, pancakes, even French toast. still have them on my counter! Bought the mini waffle maker a few weeks later for a little more, love it. For a crowd, no, but one or two people, its fine. Now think I will try the cookie from scratch dough

Cool find! And another fine review. This is one of the first products I've watched a review on that has made me very tempted to buy one. I mean, at a mere 8 bucks (after coupon), it's a bargain. These kind of things rarely go for less than $19.99. I also looked up the Dash Mini Grill and it too, looks quite tempting for a quick burger. (I wonder if the griddle can make a burger too....although I would imagine you'd have to tip out the grease once or twice.) Thanks for the review and for likely costing me $8.

It’s been over two years since I did the review but I think it was the Nestle Toll House cookie dough, the kind you cut yourself. I think I just played around with a few different size pieces to get the right size I wanted. Hope that helps.

Yum! I bought four of the waffle maker versions from
homegoods ($7 I think.). Used two for a girls’ night ice cream waffle “bar” and gave the other two away at the end of the night. Now I’m debating...do I go buy a griddle one or use what I have for a waffle cookie?? : )

This may be a weird question, I have one of these and I stuggle with cleaning it. What is the best way to clean it?
Looks to me like you just wipe it out. Not real difficult to figure out.
@@IsaacNewton1966 nope, unfortunately not that easy. Things stick down the side, the bumps make it hard to really clean into them and I am uncertain how much water and where can be used.

A lot of college dorms won't allow any thing with out an automatic shut off, my daughters doest even allow toasters. She said her suite mates had several of the breakfast sandwich makers confiscated during inspection. So I'd guess this would be a no-go.
It looks like you have to flip the pancake and cookies over like you would on a normal griddle, doesn't appear the top gets hot enough to cook both sides at once.
and now gotta get a Mini pancake turner (flipper/spatula) to fit the mini griddle :)

How much steam does this produce when you open the lid? I was thinking this would be great for my dorm room but I definitely don't want to accidentally set off a fire alarm...
Not going to lie it's fairly steamy but a fan will dissipate it very well tbh. As long as the heat doesn't reach you should be fine.

I have the panini maker (I meant to order the waffle maker). There is something called a chaffle (egg/cheese-keto item) that is very popular to make in these. Perfect size to heat an Aldi's sausage patty.

Had the same exact thoughts as you both did at the start of the video about the RV, dorm or a 1-2 person home even. But, the fact that there's not an automatic shut off & it's that Hot...I agree about the dorms. (Depends on the person using it though) Does it have times listed on how long to cook each item ? Wonder if it would work with a cinnamon buns in a can like the biscuits, or you could make mini frozen waffles, even maybe grilled cheese?

I have tried a hamburger, it worked but was a little messy because of the grease.
