Another enjoyable episode 🙂 Iron Furnaces: - Increase to gold or even diamond - Add an augment to go faster and/or even use energy instead of coal for power Sophisticated Storage: - Increase to gold or even diamond - Upgrades can be further upgraded Auto sifting: - Replace the original chests with Sophisticated Storage chests (1 or even 2) and get rid of the drawers and most of the pipez
This is a must-watch for anyone struggling with storage and computing in Skyblock! The detailed breakdown of refined storage, from quartz enriched iron to the crafting grid, is fantastic! And that 16k storage disc is a game changer. I can't wait to see what you do with this newfound power.
For AE2, you don't actually need to find imaginary meteorites, you can craft the inscriber press parts in an inscriber with some sky stone dust, iron plates, and whatever material is needed for the part. Gold ingot for logic, diamond for calculation, silicon for silicon, and certis quarts crystal (however it's spelled) for engineering.
@@sjin I quite literally made a quick and dirty AE2 system in TTS moments before I had made this message. It really is nice how cheap it actually is, and the quests are nice with what they ask you to grab as far as terminals (basic terminal right to crafting terminal)
Hello, You should reverse your storage compacting system. Have materials go into the drawer that converts the ore into blocks. Then put the compact version of the material on each of the drawers you made. Thus giving you the ability to grab the blocks quickly as needed. Great show. You get so much more done without friends distracting you. Meaning you don't need friends haha. I look forward to your next episode.
A few things: 1.) Refined storage is a great storage mod, but AE2 outshines it in this specific pack simply because its compatibility/integration with ProjectE. 2.) Framed Drawers are vastly superior to anything. Period. You'll appreciate the ability to hide them into your walls and their ability to void excessive items. 3.) Getting upgrades to your resource producing sieves/hammers as early as possible is really important and it would be a good idea to focus on getting those asap, just beware high RF usage. 4.) Upgrading your RF-producing systems is pretty important early on simply because it enables faster resource gains. 5.) The Crafter from RF Tools is really the way to go for compressing your ores if you don't mind a bit of fiddling around with pipez filters/slightly more RF usage. Just remember to click the R button in the gui when you have one of each of your ore chunks in its inventory. It'll save you loads of hassle later down the line. Hopefully these help a bit :P
@@Spyhermit Early game they're really good, but as soon as you can afford some FE, RF Tools crafters will process as soon as you can get the ore chunks into them.
mobs still can spawn on dreadfull dirt even with a mega torch nearby.. an early energy condenser mk1 helps a lot.. you get a lot of xychorium gems. 1 gem = 128 glas :D repair talisman is quite cheap and helps a lot.. an as soon as possible, get a time in a bottle and save some time.. you'll need it :D
Things I've noted playing this pack so far, that I should have gotten onto much sooner than I did: 1. If you start needing lots of redstone, get to sifting red sand. Start generating netherrack, and then crush it twice. Red sand is the best source of redstone. 2. Grow frost melons (seeds available in Farming for Blockheads market stall), they generate snow on top that will help you start making ice, which you'll need for a few things including generating deepslate. 3. Sifting crushed deepslate is the only way to get uranium. When you have multiple fully upgraded flux hammer/sieve setups, a nuclear reactor is really the way to go. 4. Fishing for pufferfish to build sea shelves, I've ended up catching more water bees than pufferfish. Eventually I built a bee farm and found that water bees can catch a good number of pufferfish. Aquatic bees need a pool of water to work. Skyblock bee farms need to be fully enclosed. I built an enormous glass box with room for a couple cherry trees.
me watching the items go from a chest... to a different chest lmao. maybe i just get it more after all these years but you're quite good with your explanations for putting together the multi block machines
A good compactor is the flux compactor. It works with pebbles, too. Especially, blackstone which you crush then sieve to get ancient debris that can be cooked into netherite scrap then turned into netherite bars. I'm currently working in the same mod pack as you are; been like that since over a decade or so of watching you. I am a little ahead, but not by much, lol.
This episode was a real rollercoaster ride! It's amazing how much you've accomplished in Sky Block, from building a massive power generation system to setting up storage drawers and finally, a fully functioning computer. :face-blue-speaker-shape: The way you break down complex tech mods into manageable steps is super helpful. I'm definitely going to try out refined storage next time I'm playing Sky Block.
I've seen an episode or two of Storage Wars. As I recall, storage places are auctioned off, the bidders are told a little about the previous owners, but nothing about what is really in the storage sheds. It can be exciting to see if the winners can make a profit or even break even with what being stored.
That was an awesome episode! I can't believe you managed to get a working computer in just one episode. Your explanation of refined storage was so clear, now I understand how it works. I'm excited to see what you build next!
Instead of using the oak drawers and then the compacting Drawers, u can directly dump the ore in the compacting drawer and put a stack upgrade in it... Also in your current setup u don't actually need those compacting drawers, u just need the Gold Oak chest hooked up with the automated sieve...
Instead of running Pipes to every machine you can just use Ender chests. One next to each machine and One next to the computer. Saves on time and resourses.
I used to love AE but then they released AE2 and it became like SOOOO much more complex. Refined Storage is basically what AE started as. When they released AE2 someone decided nah fam I'm going to remake what your mod originally was lol
You dident configure the compacting draw, you dont realy need the other drawer just compacting for the ore, you should have tried to put an ore in manually first. When you move the compacting system, swap the drawer and compacting storage, and put everything like in a second storage above the ore process, with drawers in the ceiling, and im pretty sure you can use another block to act as a brain in the drawers, so you only pump items into one block and it automaticly puts it in the right one. This way youll store pure ore down below, and you can put storage upgrades in the sophisticated storage as a buffer, or put a void upgrade to avoid filling the system with something you dont use as much, this will make it go on for ever thou and not stop
Sjin did you have issues with the Questbook being empty in the beginning? I am one of many on the interwebs having this issue and I don't know how to solve it.
create bulk haunting can make so much soul sand in so short a time you might cry.

ah nice thats a relief, I'd like to build an AE2 system as well since it handles chemicals for Mekanism so much better

I find the chests from sophisticated storage are a stupid cheap way to process ores without RF usage.

Compacting drawers work, you just have to manually put one of the items in and then it will start automatically working
Instead of using the oak drawers and then the compacting Drawers, u can directly dump the ore in the compacting drawer and put a stack upgrade in it...
Also in your current setup u don't actually need those compacting drawers, u just need the Gold Oak chest hooked up with the automated sieve...
You should make a talisman of repair from project E. it can go in a belt slot and you can have a paxel that never dies
I think simple storage provides u with a storage remote which let's u get access to ur storage from anywhere... Even other dimensions...
The dreadful dirt and delightful dirt from mob grinding utils will still spawn mobs even with the mega torch and dread lamp.
Instead of running Pipes to every machine you can just use Ender chests. One next to each machine and One next to the computer. Saves on time and resourses.
Yay a new episode x3
You should get a building wand
**watching Sjin setup all the drawers and pipes**....ah there we go...now He sees it...

Been living this new Skyblock.
Make a repair talisman
Ooo im early to this one. Loving how the music has been working out. Feel free to chnage it when ever youd like and ask us what we think ^___^
