Bro I literally wasted two hours of my life trying to fix this issue after I installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus (which I learned is infamous for causing this specif problem), and only when I found your video I was finally able to put an end to my suffering. I was legit losing my marbles, getting more and more desperate, until this video. When you get sound back, you realize he/she's obviously cognizant that you can't hear, as he isn't speaking at all! That's why there's background music only - so that when you get sound back, which he/she seems sure of, you know that it's fixed (and video not too boring)!! SMART COOKIE!

JUST CLICK TO UPDATE DRIVERS! I didn't need to uninstall anything. I right-clicked on my only option under Device Manager---Sound ----Realtek High Definition. It said "click to update drivers," I did and VOILA!! 1 minute later sound was restored. Yay! Thanks so much MYou!

I've had this same problem for the last 6 months and finally I was able to fix it thanks to this video. Downloading the Realtek driver directly from HP is what did it. What a relief. Thank you!

This is the way I solved my Audio problem :
Device manager > sound, video, and game > Right click all 3 files one at a time > uninstall device
Then Re- start your device

Guys if you have done every thing theres a simple fix plug in your headphones but if the port doenst work try all the ones on the back
I did it ! (I kinda did my own thing in the middle of this process, but it still helped and now it plays music !!! May God bless you!!!)
Äfter hours of reading and watching youtube, I cleaned my audio jack with a rolled piece of sandpaper. The jack plug was a bit rusty and the connection wasn't transferring the electric signal to the speakers. It works now.

I would just factory reset your pc it is will fix also if you do and it is stuck at a certain percentage for a long time just hold power button down until it shuts and then turn it back on
This doesn't address my issue. I ran some Windows updates and now it says there is no audio output device installed. No sound devices show in device manager.

I'M very my audio driver not working
The first step wasn't going to work for me because my drivers wasn't showing the sound drivers at all. I tried downloading a new one for the fifth time and in the middle of the download it just started working. I had been trying to solve this issue for the last four hours. I don't think it was anything from the video, but I'll thank you nonetheless.
I googled the operating system I use (Dell in my case) and the driver I was missing (Realtek Audio Driver) and downloaded it.

Hi, its just my experience and I don`t have any connection with the app. It worked for many people as you can see in comment section. You may want to try other software if it is not working for you.

I fixed my sound then, when I got back on the video, my volume was all the way up and I didn't know it so the background music started blasting and it scared me!
