      For Q&A question what has your favorite project/favorite shrimp been? What was your top 3 or top 5 biggest mistakes that you made when you first started? What is your top 3 tips for people that want to become breeders (not just casual shrimp keepers)? Love all your videos and love all the advice you've given me can't thank you enough!

      Have you ever tried making a breeding ground for continuous rotifer injection into the tank without maintenance needs? Like something that isnt cultured alone and something that the shrimp cant reach so that they cant decimate rotifer population from reaching main rotifer breeding ground. I am curious since you seem very ressourceful and maybe that could be a good idea, not sure 🤪

    I found biofilm very easy to grow in my fast stream aquarium i made for fun with hillstream loaches, but I have an airhead blowing into 2 air diffusers that redistribute that blend into several pipes which are also surrounded with a serious mass of green hair algae to lessen the needs for that 90% mass that most biofilm need for structure on bare surfaces since I can't add plants in there, plants are so slow at extracting nitrogen lol. But I loved your display of susswassertang, can't wait to try it myself sometime! Looks like marine algae, which is pretty unique to me in a freshwater aquarium.

    Love your videos! Really great info for advanced and beginners. Unfortunately, I only have access to tap water presently, but finally, with some of your advice, I was able to get some cristal red shrimplets, yesterday. Let's see if they can survive the first weeks and mold without problems. Like you said the algae on the tank walls is super important.

    Thank you for this video. I am having a hard time with shrimp let survival rate. I have tons of plants in a 13 gallon tank. Stem plant, floating plants, and epiphytes. But I only see a couple small shrimp every now and then. I see berried shrimps and I have ordered berried shrimp. I order from TB Shrimp, so I know they are healthy. my water perimeters are good. I water change with distilled and lower the ph to below 6. I usually fee twice a week with Shrimp King line. I switch up the different pellets from the line. Sometimes I will add fish flake. Do you have any suggestions to help me increase survival rates? Thank you again for all your great content!!

    so did you use sl aqua magic powder before just as like something to help grow biofilm or do the shrimp actually eat it? would it be similar to using like bacter ae or shrimp baby? thoughts on those 2 products since those are the products that i have on me right now. Best shrimplet powder food that you've used in the past (aside from your homemade one)?

    What are your thoughts on using fertiliser to boost plant health and growth? Any negative affects on shrimp? I'm going to use Tropica premium nutrition which they say has very little copper so should not affect shrimp. Thanks

      Leave the lights on for 10 hours and never scrape the wall :)

    • @Lay...
      @Lay... 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bacter AE really helps with that. Starts adding the dust algae almost straight away. If you leave lights on then you risk growing lots of algae elsewhere.

    I only clean the front glass of the tank. I have noticed that the babies love to hang on the back and sides of the tank to feed. I also use a powder food couple times of the week for the babies. Your shrimp look awesome. What is your TDS? Do you have different TDS and GH for different types of caridinas?
