I'm still all in on this podcast. It's hard to replace the personality and energy of Matt, but I'm a big fan of Mike from his Instagram and you guys did great for a first episode. Looking forward to more! Thanks guys!
So glad (crown and caliber) the show is back! The seatings arrangement (crown and caliber) are a bit awkward but maybe it's because we are used (crown and caliber) to the old format. Keep it up👊
Glad this podcast is back! It would be really cool if y'all do an episode on dial designs and just come up with random cool designs. I would love to see what s bauhaus design from Cameron would look like!
So glad to see the podcast is back! I also love that Cameron has a quartz analog/digital combo watch. I am a watch lover and I actually prefer digital/quartz watches to mechanical ones and love my Casio Edifice ECB-500. It links up to my phone with Bluetooth so I never have to wind it or sync up the analog hands with the digital display and it always has the same time as my phone. There's also a function to find my phone by pressing a button on my watch! Would love to see more analog/digital combo watches on the podcast, maybe a review of the Casio ERA-300DB which is the holy grail of digital watch technology for me. Keep it up guys!
Hooray! I am a recent fan and have been going through season one, probably at least half of it. I have a request! And if it was covered in a previous episode, or is too vague, no worries. But, I'm certainly interested in the specifics of watch design, what factors are considered, what goes into creating/choosing a font. What makes classic designs so wonderful and how much of that is emotion and how much is math? I know that might be a bit much to cover, but that creative process fascinates me! So glad the pod is back!
I love the RUN CNC sticker. Also, Cameron is a legend; please make a GMT Cameron; I'm planning on buying one of the field watches, but what I really want is a GMT.
Minor quibble with the format, for watching I much prefer if you sit across from each other. I can't put my finger on it, but something feels uncomfortable about seeing you have to twist to look at each other while talking. Otherwise, glad you're back.
interesting choice of alloy for your plates. I have worked with it. It is very hard, but not as ductile. It is very strong. Was there any trouble machining the plates for the jewels. I have found it tends to chip when you drill. I like it that you show watches with normal wear and tear.
Didn't have any trouble with chipping during machining, but we are pretty conservative with all our feeds and speeds and all the tooling was new. The biggest challenge was decoration and getting the matte finish on the bridges after machining.
Great podcast guys, I'm excited to see it back on the air! I have a question about the Blancpain, does the movement function like a ETA 2893 or like a Rolex Calibre 3285?
The movement in this watch is the Blancpain 5A50 and it sets like the Rolex GMT where you have a quick-set local hour hand that jumps forward or backward in 1 hr increments. However the Blancpain caliber has been around much longer than the Rolex 3285 and the 3186. The Blancpain caliber also has a superior 100 hour power reserve. A lot of watch for the money with this Blancpain, in my opinion.
Crown and Caliber wouldn’t offer me on my vintage Omega 321 Chronograph. No, it’s not a Speedmaster, but it’s still a 321 in great condition. Only reason I was asking them was for a possible trade, not looking for cash. Really odd that they did that considering other vintage shops are selling them easily for 3-5k depending on condition.
I am happy the podcast is back. I'll be honest, I liked the energy with Matt more. Matt was the active person and Cameron was more laid back and I liked that dynamic. Here it seems like you are both laid back and the podcast seems to lack energy. But it might just be the first episode, hopefully it changes as time passes.
I can't believe you guys didn't talk about the recent viral video where a US army vet on Antique Roadshow finds out that his mint condition 1970s Rolex Cosmograph could be worth up to $700k at auction. You guys really need to discuss that on the next episode!
I saw that episode and love that story! Literally made my day. I think we actually recorded this episode prior to that video making it's way around the internet, but worth talking about on one of the next episodes.
Welcome back guys missed the show ♥️♥️♥️ hopefully Mike has more watch knowledge and enthusiasm then Matt did... I love matt but you could tell early on he lost interest
I'm so happy the show is back, and to see Cameron again, however, I do not like this Mike guy. He's very dry and boring. I think you need a co-host with some pizzazz to balance Cameron.

Skinny Matt is pretty good. I'm still in.
SmashGhost skinny matt approves of this comment.

Stoked ya'll are back. Cheers!
Awesome to see Cameron back! Still enjoying my Weiss 38mm (White Dial) Field Watch. Looking forward to more episodes.
After watching this episode, I picked up a Fifty Fathoms GMT just like this and I couldn't be happier. These are such great values at the moment.
So great to see the podcast is back. Like the new watch!
Great to know you’re back. Look forward to future episodes.
So glad (crown and caliber) the show is back! The seatings arrangement (crown and caliber) are a bit awkward but maybe it's because we are used (crown and caliber) to the old format. Keep it up👊
José Cunha we had a small technical difficulty so this setup was only for the first two episodes. 🤘🏻
Happy to see that the show is back!

Brady Jackson thank you!
Thanks for filling the void in my life.
Great! I was hoping you would come back.
so happy to see you back!
Mike does have Matt Farah's hair...
Jim Fuerstenberg that I do have. Keen eye!
Great to have you back. Now to get Unwound back.
Glad your back 👍🙂

I needed this so bad. Thank God this is back. Even if Matt's not there other watch podcasts are kind of snoozers.
Bangurowned it’s only going to get better 🤘🏻
Glad you're back!
Welcome back!
Nice to see you back!
Pumped watch and listen is back!

GLADE YOUR BACK!!

My Weiss is #0003 as well (green dial manual 38), cool to know it's Cameron's lucky number
LOVE the setup!
KasumovReacts it’s going to get even better. Thanks 👍🏻

Road Stories Podcast Matt lost 150 lbs?🤣🤣🤣
Welcome back, Cam

Hey Ty! Don't worry - that is coming. Just had to work out a couple of kinks, but that will be the look soon!
my neck hurts watching you guys ... I too am soooo glad you are back !!!!
I do not like this angle at all.

@@thewatchmakersworkshop I can see how getting the decoration right on that alloy could be challenging.
That 38mm is a very comfortable size...Good idea Cameron.
Yes!!!
I have one of the original American field watches (#10) any way to trade up into the titanium?
Yes youre back! Also Cameron any plans for making a Weiss dive watch?
It's on my list! Can't say if I will get to actually making it any time soon though.
Yes! Pretty sure if you produce one, I would buy two on the release.
Was the Breitling near the beginning a cockpit b50?

Awesome to see this show come back! Mike out of curiosity how "small" is your wrist?
statuswan about 6.5
@@roadstoriespodcast9804 looking forward to hearing your take on how pieces feel on wrist, as I too have a "small" wrist!
Great to have the show back!
Question re the Weiss watch: What is the crystal made of and is there any anti-reflective coating on it?
Sapphire crystals on the front and the back, and the front sapphire crystal has AR coating on the inside dome surface.
Cameron Weiss cool! Thanks.

I like the dodane version of the breitling

great
I wish I could just drop by at the shop with my 58 watch collection so you can" WTF Why?" me for an hour... But 2 are Weiss....😎
30 grams is like a light year difference.
Welcome back guys missed the show ♥️♥️♥️ hopefully Mike has more watch knowledge and enthusiasm then Matt did...
I love matt but you could tell early on he lost interest
Yo where's episode 2 hahaha
God damnit!! I was waiting for this forever, and it sucks! This new host is laaaaaaaaaaaame! Please save it!
I would get that 38 mm field watch if it hacked.
9f by Grand Seiko shits all over super quartz.
Suggestion: Sit opposite, not next to eachother.
Thats coming! We just had to work out a couple of technical glitches.
@@WatchAndListenPodcast Cool. Next suggestion: Review a Breitling Super Avenger (2) since watchfinder refuse to do that for 2 years, ha.
You guys should sit across from each other. It looks awkward the way it is. So did Matt take the Crown and Caliber sponsor with him?
Future episodes will have us sitting across from each. This was due to some technical issues. This show is still sponsored by Crown and Caliber.
@@WatchAndListenPodcast Awesome. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with next. Good luck
Loved season 1. Don’t like the camera angle on this episode. Would also like to see an increase in energy/personality. Very dry. Still a fan tho

I don't do Hertz! WTF you make watches.
