Got to test out a cheaper ebike, mountain bike style 500 watt. It performed decent, the battery being smaller did not last as long as a lager wattage battery, very hilly here.but I still think for the price, its a nice bike! For those who want battery as just a backup and want to pedal for exercize.

Only thing keeping me from owning an e-bike is rain. Sometimes I get cought in an unexpected down pour :/
@Tux-YT most are rated to use in rain, not sure if this was
This review confirms what I was thinking that the less-expensive e-bikes will work pretty well I make it much more affordable to get into e-biking. Ancheer is the brand I had decided on and this is similar model. Thanks
I appreciate you doing this. It is more important to me to get a review on a bike like this rather than the higher priced bikes. The latter is a given that they will be good. Your review assures me that the bike is not going to be a disaster, which will mean the headache of returning it etc.
@@Bikes0420 False he was not paid for this review.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a great new year.
Hope this one has lots of joy for you and yours.
You too!
Welcome back; 🎊happy, healthy and successful new year🎉
I wasn’t really into E bikes now you got me convinced that I want to go out and buy one happy new year Moto and Mrs. mrs. cheese as well yeah gizmo such a bad cat bad garage boss but it still takes place in the videos. Always love watching him walking around in inside there or in Florida. Keep up the good work Moto looking forward to the next video brother
😁👍 thanks! Yeah he's a bad kitty!
Precautions are to check ALL of the bolts on the motor, not just the shaft bolts, but also the housing bolts, also it's a must to get a torque arm for the motor shaft, and fill the tires with flatout, this will save you a bunch of headache relief down the road, and give you an enjoyable ebike, for comfort, you can add a shock absorbing seat post and/or seat, and a adjustable handlebar neck to give yourself a comfortable riding position.😊😎👍
I typically mention check all bolt in my videos, the shock seat posts are definitely nice, I've gotten some of these e-bikes with them
Where do you buy the seat and handlebar thing you mentioned for this bike
That's a pretty cool bike for people just wanting some extra power on occasion.. It has a good gearing for just pedaling like a regular bike..
Agreed! The extra gearing is a plus.
Lol.. Security cam edited in is a nice touch😁
😁 B roll
I had a dream last night about getting a new bike , now you're reviewing a bike in my price range 👍🧀
😁😁 weird how that works
Excellent in depth review. Been looking at this bike to buy. Could you post your preferred settings please
They're in the video towards end
That might be pretty cool down in Fla where it's flat. Wonder if they have a rack for the back ?
on flat pavement, yes. 8 didn't see a rack on website but looks stanard
Excellent review, especially the setting part. Can you ride at 20 mph without Ghost Petaling?
On flat you can cruise 22 to 23mph consistent. Thanks! Especially after tweeks
pedaling is good for the spirit! no need to ghost
Nice bike, cute kitty (just like mine, Rose), thank you
Do you think the overall lighter weight is helping the work efficiency of the smaller motor? And would a larger battery option help to compensate for the weaker (less expensive) motor?
Yes and yes, if it had a 1000wh battery would definitely help being the bike is light
WOW.....for the money it looks great
It sounded like both wheels were rubbing the disc breaks when just assembled. Did it continue to rub? Am surprised the manual showed you how to increase the speed limit past 20mph. Wish mine allows me that too.
I didn't notice the rubbing, I usually adjust if I hear it. Most all the bikes I get have a way to get class 3 29mph. Did you look up the controller online?
@@MotoCheez Good idea. I should look it up.
I have been on my Ancheer hummer ebike for 5 years. It's been a great time to ride.I would buy another one if something happens to it
Thanks for the input!
have you had to replace the battery? how many miles can you normally get before charging?
@shaunhenesy2258 typically between 1 to 2 miles per amp hour
@@MotoCheezis that 1-2 miles per amp hour 50% full throttle and 50% pedal assist? or just pure pedal assist?
@eroblern 95% throttle, 5% pedal assist
Of course you've reviewed this lol first the Hawk and now the Gladiator. Good to see you're still spending time in the NE! No reason I shouldn't confirm my order tonight, right? I have two buddies that have worked in bike shops, to help me get it tuned right.
Awesome!!!! Let me know how you like it
@@MotoCheez Sweeeet... Will do, thanks! I'm right by the HV Rail Trail, which sounds about the right speed for it. Got my neighbor to buy a Hawk, too by the way 😄
@@MotoCheez Actually... can you put an affiliate link up for the Gladiator model? Not much difference, I know, but I like it a little better.
@Morboeatspeople jeffro's ridden that trail a few times I haven't done on a bike. I did years ago on quads before they paved it
@@MotoCheez Nice! We used to do it in cars back when it was all rocks lol lost the brake lines one night and long story short, I ended up getting struck and dragged a little ways under the back wheel of an '86 Tempo 🤕 my ass hasn't looked the same since lol
14:18 What's up Mini Truck..... Whoa whoa whoa
is there a cheat sheet available for those codes?
I just bought the same bike in 4/23 but they used a different model controller.
My+ - buttons are at the bottom,Not on the face,I tried pushing the same buttons but i cant get into any settings menu?Any suggestions?Ancheer is of no help ,only getting 20mph down here in flat florida.
Not sure what control you have maybe if you take a picture and do a Google reverse photo search it'll show you what model it is and then there should be instructions on it
Me too bruh
I bought the model: AMA005873 and the buttons you push to change the settings wont work on mine and It didn't come with instructions for that display screen any ideas? Nice review on that bike I like mine I just think that I need to tweek settings lol
Try google lensing a photo of the controller screen, that how I found the settings on this
@@MotoCheez Thaks appreciate the help.
Very useful vidio
The controller is pretty big looking .. My 33 amp doesn't look that big. But my frame is huge like the Magicycle.
How many watts?
I have an Ancheer AM1907, 21 speed. The gears are geared too low for me. I never shift down from the tall sprocket at the peddles. I've never used any of the lower gears, just geared too low. Probably better for just off road, not very good for road. Other than that it's been a reliable e-bike, just which they had taller gearing.
Seems all the e-bikes are that way, you can put a bigger sprocket on front crank sprocket or smaller gearset for rear
Interesting bike for the money. Wonder when some clever mechanic comes up with regenerative braking or 'coasting' for these e-bikes. Maybe something like the old bike light generators that were driven by the front tire, but on steroids for the required voltage?
Some of these bikes do have regenerative braking, I think it's the extra expense of the magnets in the hub. I think they should all have them for when you're going downhill you can recharge a bit
I love my ancheer bike 240 pounds Takes me every hill in my town

So I saw your video I ordered two of these bikes very impressed by the quality took about a half an hour to assemble out of the box bike works perfectly for a cheap ebike this is the way to go. ANCHEER has my 100% approval and it also comes with a one-year warranty. I wish I would have watched your video all the way through the first time I missed out on the promotional code I guess that's what I get for not watching the video all the way through.
Congrats. Aww. Too bad you missed the Code
@@MotoCheez that's what I get maybe next time by the way these bikes came in red and black. Thanks again for making the video. Definitely should make things easier for people that are undecided
😁👍
@@MotoCheez Maintenance video would be awesome. My bike is up to 171 miles I have no issues I'd like to keep it that way I just don't know what the maintenance would be on these bikes.
Good idea!
Not much to do on these bikes that differs from a regular bike, oil chain, derailers, check brakes and derailers. check bearings, possibly grease if you ride in harsh conditions.
Really want one, but it’s right at my budget and they’re asking $150 shipping on Amazon. Any chance someone has a free shipping or discount code to eat some of that cost? Would love to be able to grab my first e-bike… great channel love your vids!
Thanks! There should be 7% off and a $30 coupon tick box on the Amazon link
Hummer model amzn.to/3i1K3vu
I bought one a few months back. $400 for the 27.5” with $150 shipping was around $600. Can’t beat it! I’m 270+ and it takes me around 11 miles with no assist at 20-21mph. On big down hills I have hit 34-38mph. Brakes had to be adjusted a few times till I felt I had stopping power on those big hills.
Looks like Gizmo was on an adventure to go look for his Buddy the Woodchuck 😂.
Cheezel can you order a higher wattage battery 🔋 from that company for the $650 bike 🚲 in this vid ? Or do they even offer a upgraded battery for it ?
I believe this was the largest battery they offer, I'll find out
@@MotoCheez 👍
@@MotoCheez do you have a ebike that has a peddling generator that charges the battery 🔋 back up when you peddle it ? Or do they make those ? I thought 💭 I’d saw something about Bikes 🚲 that if the battery went low you could generate the power to charge it back up by peddling it.
I know that they do make them but I have not seen one yet, It's a good idea for sure especially since I have a lot of hills going downhill it could generate the battery power back to the battery
Good, practical review. Thank you.
I like the bike but the range is no good for me, (I'm ancient).
So if your in peddle assist the throttle won't work?
It has in the settings for both of them to work but I couldn't get it to work both at once
can the speed controller top speed limiter be disconnected?
I don't believe so
Check the rotors if you buy this bike mine were loose finger tightened
Oof. Thanks for sharing.
Surprised it took me so long to find this video, i was always curious about that bike, i have one of the other Ancheer bikes, the 26in Speedrid fat tire, its power house, the motor says 500w, control says 18amps, the battery says 48v, but tops 26mph, the display says it's peeking at 1,040w, and it climbs better than my 1000w Bafang hub, it's not perfect, but has the power.
Agreed!
Had to solder the motor wires together, kept melting 😂, after I upgraded the battery to a 48v 20ah unit pack, the stock battery will only discharge at 18a, that's when the peak w went from 960 to 1040w.
@bassw1758 good idea! Better connection for sure
Did you change it to miles per hour
Yes, it's in the display section
Hey. Open the motor controller and disconnect the white cable and the bicycle will go 30-40+MPH…. Your welcome… and the best part you don’t need to pedal
This controller has the white wire? I'll have to check.
@@MotoCheezdid it work
7 months later, does the bike work good or does it ruin it because you did something you weren't supposed to, I ask because I'm buying one if it's worth the money and it lasts me a year or two. 😅
@clutch7756 still good but I've probably only put another 50 miles on it. I get a lot of bikes to test
@@MotoCheez please try! Thanks 😊
You would be highly suited to use a CYC mid drive kit for a build. Right up your alley. CYC makes a 5,000 watt kit for converting bikes to an E bike.. You just need to hunt down a used higher end bike with great brakes and strong frame.. They go 50 mph 😂 And a good rear gear set made of steel to last longer 👍 Oh.. A 52 volt or 72 volt battery extra.
I was looking into those kits! Like you say, need a good frame with good BRAKES! I will do a build in the future for sure, also want to put a front drive for AWD bike and see how it does in my mountain trails. Good large batter is a must.
@@MotoCheez Might have to use 2 controllers and 2 displays for dual hub.. Not sure..
The Magicycle has a good rack to toss in an extra battery and controller with a display in a bag. Just need to connect a switch to the throttle to run one or both motors. Like the Ariel Rider Grizzly has.
I believe so too, or one larg controller to handle the amperage
@@MotoCheez I think under the seat of the grizzly dual hub is like 2 - 35 amp controllers .. CitizenCycle guy did a dual motor build. I did t watch his build but he does run dual displays.
Does anyone know where they hide the controller?
I believe below the battery
Which bike is your favorite so far?
Magicycle!
@MotoCheez I weigh 235ish. Is that overweight for the bike?
@@MitchellGWhitehead I weigh 235. Max capacity is 265lbs
I weigh 300 and at times I have been up to 330lbs and the ancheer holds up well.
Oh and I also have another 25lbs for my backpack with 60oz water bottle and extra ebike battery.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍
Nice review cheesy I can tell I want a 1000 W or better Cause I am almost 300 pounds
I want 1000w too!
I have the 26 inch 250w 36v 8.6ah and I'm 300lbs. I've been using the bike for years and it gets me up to 20mph. I'm mostly in a flat desert community but it gets pretty windy here. I use full electric throttle and peddle sparingly because of really bad knees so I'll get close to 6 miles per battery charge. I'm looking at the redline newer version of this at 500w/750peak 48v 10.4ah. It's got adjustable shocks which mine are atrocious. Blew out a few months into using it but that's probably due to my weight. The newer one has a LCD digital display.

A good quality steel bike frame is significantly lighter than aluminum, especially cheap aluminum bikes, because the frame isn't a large percentage of the bike's weight.

The customer reviews are very concerning with this ebike! Be careful when breaking, the front forks are twisting on alot of people's and the chargers failing and some batteries not holding a charge

Yes, you could spend thousands of dollars on an eBike th-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ and get something much higher quality. However, if you're looking for a basic model to try out eBiking this is a great choice. The assembly is easy as far as bikes go (took about an hour for me to do, I'm not an expert). All tools needed are included. I added the plastic mud guards you see and a more comfortable seat. The other reviews are correct that you're probably going to want a better seat (Giddy Up! Bike Seat is what I got - super comfortable). The battery easily handles a 2-4 hour ride if you add some of your own pedal power. I haven't even gotten it up to top speed yet - it is very fast. Components are not top of the line, but decent for the price and work just fine. It works great on dirt roads and singletrack and pavement although too heavy to do tricks or any serious technical mountain biking. I'm looking forward to using it a lot over the summer. Tons of fun!
