Oh yeah! I’ve been waiting for someone to go fully in-depth in this unique location, diving into it’s history, and explaining just how great this location was, and still is. Definitely my favorite to have been covered!
So THAT'S where the Showbiz Pizza Plaza name came from. I remember surfing the internet a while back and coming across some hats and shirts that had the SSPlaza name on it (and was purple for some reason), could never figure out where it originated from.
This was super interesting! I like how they kept the animatronics on display, wish more CECs would've done that during the 2.0 remodel. There are also other foreign CECs out there I find interesting like Showbiz Pizza Fiesta/Boomis Pizza Fiesta, and the defunct Australian Charlie Cheese's restaurant. Boomis had other animatronic then just the Rock-A-Fire, they also had bootleg PTT bots and some original animatronics.
My big sister went to one location of Showbiz Pizza Fiesta when she was a Kid in the early 90's I guess. She went to the location of Guadalajara, one of the 10 locations of Showbiz in México.
This was def one of your best history videos in the Showbiz and CEC history! ❤ Hopefully you can soon do a history video of the many Santiago Chuck E. Cheese's stores that there are, it would be so cool too! 🎉❤
This was a very cool area, I love the final locations’ design, the exterior looks fantastic! And the best part is that they didn’t throw the bots away!
Thanks for the donation! Unfortunately Worcester is not an interesting enough store, and I already know I can’t cover all the mass stores in one video so I’ll pass.
Didn't want to make a second comment but a few things: The 2010s remodel photo at Gallerias Primas is actually not from there, not sure why it's on Google Maps but I can confirm. For Conception, you didn't mention how they had some of the old record posters from Zona 9 Also both locations still use tokens and tickets
the balcony stage is actually quite interesting. apparently showbiz pizza in Guatemala was not a real showbiz location it was a rip off called showbiz pizza fiesta. they had there own showtapes and even a record. they had the rock afire and a retrofitted balcony stage. here's the weird part this retrofit wasn't made for this store. IT WAS A WHOLE BRANCH FOR ANOHTER PARTY PLACE. this place was called boomis pizza time festa which could have been a branch of cec its unclear. the only thing about this place are photos and some audio from the showbiz festa record they played. we do know the chuck e retrofit was named raton. eventually in 1995 the actual cec company found out about them. and made them official. they would later move to the shopping center keeping the rock afire and even the balcony. you had 2 versions of munches make believe band the 3 stage and the road stage. 3 stage was on the first floor road stage was on the 2nd. in 2002 they would close the 2nd floor and the bots were used to fix the 3 stage bots. its a mess that is so unclear though. and there might never be an actual answer. i didn't even know showbiz pizza plaza was a name they used. it might even be another rip off location its so unclear
ShowBiz Pizza Fiesta was actually the name for ShowBiz in Mexico, although the franchisee for the Mexican SPF's I've heard also franchised the Guatemalan Showbiz.
Nope, the balcony stage never existed in the Guatemala location. Also you're very wrong about that it wasn't a real Showbiz location. The name was translated phonetically to "Plaza", Mexico also a legit location translated it to "fiesta", since " place" don't mean nothing in Spanish and people could get confused with that weird long name. You have a mixed up story with Mexico, since Boomis an Pizza Fiesta never existed in Guatemala.
Hey man, I love your videos! If I may, i’d like to suggest a video on Diamond Bar, CA or Pico Rivera, CA. (if you haven’t already done one on them.) Diamond Bar and Pico Rivera are some favorite locations of mine and i’d love to see how they came to be!! Keep up the cool videos bro.
you should do a video on huntsville, alabama it has a lot of history also, the bots were not taken to spt as many people think, they were all destroyed except pasqually who is presumed to be owned by a private collector now
Hey! I suggest you cover the 3 locations in New Mexico. There is a bit of mystery when it comes to that. There may have been 4 locations at a point, but we don't really know...
My mistake! It’s difficult as someone who doesn’t live there (plus how much harder it is to verify things for these international locations) to be able to know exactly what photos on that page aren’t from the store. I also had to make a last second location addition which didn’t help things.
@@ItzaRobDon't worry, I'm from Guatemala and you gave me a little more information that I didn't know :D And as a fact, I found a photo of the birthday area where they show a hallway that holds most of the art from zone 9.
I bet you already know this, Rob, but the the Guatemala Zona 9 location’s Avenger Chuck walkaround is actually different than the US version, also, right before they closed, they received the Rockstar Chuck Walkaround🐭
It certainly looked different, not sure why it would have though. Also I noticed a few photos and videos of the rockstar walkaround, I just forgot to include it here.
Also, I’m pretty sure the reason why their Avenger Chuck Walkaround is different is because it’s either homemade or it was made by a different company than Cowan Costumes inc. with different materials
There's four here, which one are you talking about? The one with the 3 stage bots closed back in 2016, only one in Concepcion County and the Galeria exist.
I think they had a balcony stage due to showbiz fiesta and the mysterious 2-stage. Also history of Holonolu?(if that’s too short then kapolei as a bonus)
I think that the way the showbiz bootleg got the rae is because that year I think spp lost the exclusivity rights to the rae so that’s why they were legally allowed to be there
Of course they were legal since they used the commercial name, also Showbiz Pizza Inc. in the mid-80's Sold RAE animatronics from closed locations to international franchises. But they were not bootlegs like they were after 1990.
Those are molds made by fans that aren’t from the original mold, these were from an original mold and were the last of their kind. Plus, stores will never buy those masks to use on bots in stores, so I don’t even see the point you’re trying to make lol.
Please do a history video on the north Richland hills tx location of Chuck E. Cheese it’s my hometown location since I was a kid plus it’s a former showbiz

This is such a unique location. Mainly cuz of how weird it looked. Especially with Chuck E, Jasper, and Pasqually having latex masks.
Chuck didn’t have a latex mask under his plastic one, close ups show this wasn’t the case.
