You can get kids away from the digital stuff sometimes if you have an interesting enough pull, and I thought jump parks were an interesting enough thing to do so. Plus, during the pandemic they'd heavily promote the RAE with more movies, video games, and maybe even a show.

I get kids were scared of them, but it was entertaining watching them move and stuff as I wanna be an engineer when I grow up, however, I recently went to a Chuck E. Cheese and now it’s just… sad. Instead of the little balcony, it’s just a wall with their pictures. It looks like they got murdered or something. I really wished they never tore down these things (This might be childish, but I have a huge interest in Chuck E. Cheese back then. I’m sure this is common, but I literally have a full on playlist for it)
Part of this channel (well, honestly, the majority) is dedicated to making videos on the topic, so you don't need to feel childish at all about it. Finding the history of these places and preserving it and allowing it to live on is what we're here for so that future generations can see it.

Correct, they wanted to get rid of their need for the Rock-afire Explosion since it was a copyright Creative Engineering owned. It's interesting though that they were wanting to replace them so early. In this answer/continuity though, their money struggles in the 90's never allowed them to go that route and they went bankrupt (I didn't ever specify why they never switched to new characters in my answer and this is why).
And what didn't help was that the only person in the company that even like Aaron or CEI was Bob Brock. Everyone else just gave Aaron and CEI a hard time.

@@potatocraft952 Chuck E. Cheese IS an international franchise, just not a huge one. They mainly have locations in Canada and in Mexico in terms of international presence, but they've been in other places too like France.

The first point is debatable. The basic Cyberamic that was designed for CEC restaurants over 40 years ago are still being used (not exact bots but the same design) so I'd argue they could still be around ESPECIALLY if they innovate like I talk about in the video. The second point I find a bit confusing because I discuss how play places lost traction and how they changed by changing from playtubes to jump parks which ARE popular nowadays. The third point is valid tho, I just didn't bother to make a new logo lol, they most certainly would have changed their logo over time. As for your other question, the last 3 stages are in Charlotte, North Carolina, Altoona, Pennsylvania, Visalia, California, Billings, Montana, and Tallahassee, Florida. I don't believe Illinois is near any of those unfortunately.
@@William_Afton_AFTONROBOTICS I forgot about a location! It's not a 3 stage but instead the last CU-1 stage (a 3 stage which only has 1 stage), which is in Springfield Illinois. It's 2 1/2 hours from Joliet apparently so I'm not sure if that's close enough for you or not but it's definitely more possible than the last 3 stages!
I do think its plausible that fector would make a deal with discovery zone at this point but i dont think the rockafire alone would save discovery zone. It fell because it wasnt able to properly manage expenses after the initial growth. expenses that would be higher if they had expensive animatronics in their stores. A show availble elsewhere might i add. Even if you argue showbiz falls anyway (which makes little sense considering cec was thriving at the time) making dz the only place you can see them and increasing there revenue im sure it wouldnt save them. If it did they would still only be recovering. Plus even if Fector approached them whos to say DZ would accept. i mean its a good idea but still one worth taking extreme consideration on.

I have an idea what happened if Concept Unification never happened but instead the Chuck E Cheese and Showbiz Pizza Place animatronics showed up in the same place (All of the locations would be Showbiz Pizza place but would still include the Chuck E Cheese Animatronics and mascots)
I don't see how this would feasibly work, that's two different casts of characters that would be difficult to advertise (due to both franchises combined being such a large cast of characters to have to handle). While I understand these videos aren't meant to be completely realistic, they're meant to be more down to earth and this feels like something not feasible whatsoever.

Yes, but without the game crash, what would Nintendo have done with the NES? Its marketing could have been different, maybe in a way that would've made it fail and cause them to not have a presence over here anymore, or worse, go out of the gaming industry entirely. That's why I don't like thinking about the game crash not happening.
@@ItzaRob Actually, the game crash seemed to affect mostly the North American market because at least back in Japan, they were doing fine and dandy. If the game crash didn't happen, it's very likely we would've been sold not the NES system, but something more similar to the Famicon instead. And even if Nintendo wouldn't get the amount of market shares like in our timeline, they'd still be fine in the long run. In our timeline, Nintendo fought tooth and nail just to get their foot in the door of the North American market. As a result, they resorted to drastic strategy such as marketing their device more as a toy than a video game console _(hence why Nintendo is perceived more as kid-friendly and rebranded as "NES")_ . Secondly, they made exclusive deal to many major department stores and alike to get them to sell their NES on their shelves by offering a share of profits of every consoles sold. These measures would be enough to put an end to the game crash period.
@@KuDastardly I'm fully aware of the story behind the NES, and that the video game crash mostly affected North America. My point is that without that crash, they would have likely not marketed the NES the same way and it's possible it could have failed as a result. I just don't know what could have happened if that had happened for Nintendo so that's why I didn't want to cover it. As for the servo question, Creative Engineering's animatronics never used hydraulics to my knowledge, they were entirely pneumatic for the most part (except for the New RAE which had electronic servos in their eyes). I'm also not sure how strong electronic servos are and if they could handle the weight needed to safely make the animatronic stand up and sit back down (like in Beach Bear V3's case that I came up with).
@@ItzaRob Point taken. Either way, Nintendo would still thrive nonetheless. In the North American market, the only failure I'd see is not acquiring the monopoly power as they did in our time line. As for pneumatics, that's what I meant, not hydraulics. When I mentioned electronic servos, I meant overtime as in when better technology became available. This exactly what Disney did with their animatronic technology over the decades.
CEI did use electronic servos in the eye of the Mijjin style animatronics, but Aaron said that after having experience using it, he didn't like them and preferred using Pneumatics.

@@William_Afton_AFTONROBOTICS How is that so? By the time the NRAE was being developed, Creative Engineering had pretty much broken away from Showbiz Pizza Time. If anything, the Studio C designs would have been based off the Awesome Adventure Machine concept. The only similarity I see in the NRAE and Studio C is the fact that neither use instruments on their animatronics and just have them sing.
@@ShellyStew I could but it's a topic within the community which has been covered quite a bit, so I try to focus on the lost media of specific CEC/SPP locations as that's something people don't focus as much on. I actually found footage of my childhood local location when it was a SPP, which was pretty awesome.
It seems like you did include a couple of hints at Aaron Fechter's more vindictive side in this alternate history, with how ruthlessly he navigated the competition between Showbiz and Discovery Zone, but in a seemingly less harmful context since it's aimed at business rivals who'd screwed him over, and not the fans of his own creations. Regarding Beach Bear v3: could they not have studied "Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln" to get an idea how to get Beach Bear to stand up? Disney had worked that question out back in the 60s, after all.
@@ItzaRob Probably because in the story of the family entertainment center wars, Disney, despite being one of THE first companies to use animatronics to this degree, it really only pops up in retellings at the beginning, and then rarely after that, unless it's like Defunctland's episode on Disney's own attempt to cash in in the 90s. But I digress. Anyways, assuming the cosmetics on Beach Bear aren't much heavier than on the Lincoln animatronic, it should in theory be easy to replicate.

No "What If No Video Game Crash" videos, it would be such an open ended question that I have no clue what would have happened. Not to mention not relating it to CEC or SPP means hardly anyone will watch it. I also don't know what you mean by the license, it just simply meant they could use the characters in their restaurants. That also means they could modify the characters in their own ways, but it wouldn't impact how others decided to use it unless they also wanted to make those changes.
Yeah, but this is just my opinion on what I thought would happen based off real life events. With competitors who do such similar things, one was going to lose and I thought it would be Chuck E. Cheese due to the issues they were having which caused their bankruptcy in the first place. Here it would've happened due to fierce competition and the other factors I mentioned in the video. It would be interesting imagining a answer to this question where Chuck E. Cheese survived, however.

I have an idea what happened if Concept Unification never happened but instead the Chuck E Cheese and Showbiz Pizza Place animatronics showed up in the same place (All of the locations would be Showbiz Pizza place but would still include the Chuck E Cheese Animatronics and mascots)
I don't see how this would feasibly work, that's two different casts of characters that would be difficult to advertise (due to both franchises combined being such a large cast of characters to have to handle). While I understand these videos aren't meant to be completely realistic, they're meant to be more down to earth and this feels like something not feasible whatsoever.
TBH, Nintendo was the reason the game crash ended. BTW, wouldn't Aaron Fechter gradually transition to using electronic servos and less on hydraulics overtime?
Yes, but without the game crash, what would Nintendo have done with the NES? Its marketing could have been different, maybe in a way that would've made it fail and cause them to not have a presence over here anymore, or worse, go out of the gaming industry entirely. That's why I don't like thinking about the game crash not happening.
@@ItzaRob Actually, the game crash seemed to affect mostly the North American market because at least back in Japan, they were doing fine and dandy. If the game crash didn't happen, it's very likely we would've been sold not the NES system, but something more similar to the Famicon instead. And even if Nintendo wouldn't get the amount of market shares like in our timeline, they'd still be fine in the long run.
In our timeline, Nintendo fought tooth and nail just to get their foot in the door of the North American market. As a result, they resorted to drastic strategy such as marketing their device more as a toy than a video game console _(hence why Nintendo is perceived more as kid-friendly and rebranded as "NES")_ . Secondly, they made exclusive deal to many major department stores and alike to get them to sell their NES on their shelves by offering a share of profits of every consoles sold. These measures would be enough to put an end to the game crash period.
@@KuDastardly I'm fully aware of the story behind the NES, and that the video game crash mostly affected North America. My point is that without that crash, they would have likely not marketed the NES the same way and it's possible it could have failed as a result. I just don't know what could have happened if that had happened for Nintendo so that's why I didn't want to cover it.
As for the servo question, Creative Engineering's animatronics never used hydraulics to my knowledge, they were entirely pneumatic for the most part (except for the New RAE which had electronic servos in their eyes). I'm also not sure how strong electronic servos are and if they could handle the weight needed to safely make the animatronic stand up and sit back down (like in Beach Bear V3's case that I came up with).
@@ItzaRob Point taken. Either way, Nintendo would still thrive nonetheless. In the North American market, the only failure I'd see is not acquiring the monopoly power as they did in our time line. As for pneumatics, that's what I meant, not hydraulics. When I mentioned electronic servos, I meant overtime as in when better technology became available. This exactly what Disney did with their animatronic technology over the decades.
CEI did use electronic servos in the eye of the Mijjin style animatronics, but Aaron said that after having experience using it, he didn't like them and preferred using Pneumatics.

The video game crash was always inevitable, as all the different games companies had too much supply over demand, quality control was absolutely lacking, there was no rating system in place, the video game crash was always going to happen.

@@William_Afton_AFTONROBOTICS How is that so? By the time the NRAE was being developed, Creative Engineering had pretty much broken away from Showbiz Pizza Time. If anything, the Studio C designs would have been based off the Awesome Adventure Machine concept. The only similarity I see in the NRAE and Studio C is the fact that neither use instruments on their animatronics and just have them sing.

It seems like you did include a couple of hints at Aaron Fechter's more vindictive side in this alternate history, with how ruthlessly he navigated the competition between Showbiz and Discovery Zone, but in a seemingly less harmful context since it's aimed at business rivals who'd screwed him over, and not the fans of his own creations.
Regarding Beach Bear v3: could they not have studied "Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln" to get an idea how to get Beach Bear to stand up? Disney had worked that question out back in the 60s, after all.
I hadn't thought about that animatronic! I'm sure they could've, though I didn't think about that animatronic for some reason when making this.
@@ItzaRob Probably because in the story of the family entertainment center wars, Disney, despite being one of THE first companies to use animatronics to this degree, it really only pops up in retellings at the beginning, and then rarely after that, unless it's like Defunctland's episode on Disney's own attempt to cash in in the 90s. But I digress.
Anyways, assuming the cosmetics on Beach Bear aren't much heavier than on the Lincoln animatronic, it should in theory be easy to replicate.

No "What If No Video Game Crash" videos, it would be such an open ended question that I have no clue what would have happened. Not to mention not relating it to CEC or SPP means hardly anyone will watch it. I also don't know what you mean by the license, it just simply meant they could use the characters in their restaurants. That also means they could modify the characters in their own ways, but it wouldn't impact how others decided to use it unless they also wanted to make those changes.

Yeah, but this is just my opinion on what I thought would happen based off real life events. With competitors who do such similar things, one was going to lose and I thought it would be Chuck E. Cheese due to the issues they were having which caused their bankruptcy in the first place. Here it would've happened due to fierce competition and the other factors I mentioned in the video. It would be interesting imagining a answer to this question where Chuck E. Cheese survived, however.

No, I'm genuinely shocked by it. I'd uploaded that Pineville 3 Stage video to archive the stage for when it eventually got removed (it may not get removed though).
