i feel like the damage is extremely low currently... Pyroblasts are hitting ~30k and its hard to kill anything... (I've been playing fire since wotlk). also the crit % dropped to 40. Any advice? It seems to me we will have to wait until level 110 :(
I've tried multiple classes, and even warrior is hitting a bit flimsy right now. It's part of that whole pre-patch mess where everything new is tuned for max level (i.e 110). Some things may hit ridiculously high while others hit like noodles:P Many of the things that benefit us are locked behind the honor talents and incoming artifact system for the time being.
I use Living Bomb more often too. Just listed Unstable magic as another possible option. Haven't messed around with cinderstorm too much as I'm a bit partial to "meteor-dragon's breath combo" for the aoe burst and cool aesthetic:) Thanks for watching!
Here's my two cents regarding Fire mages currently. Fire mages lack any sort of burst ST potential that other specs have. Frost Mages can ebonbolt > Flurry > Ice Lance combo or IV > Frozen Orb > Ice Lance Spam to quickly finish off low hp targets with ease. Arcane just need to spam two spells... arcane blast or barrage (yawn). Arcane Power let's them burst targets quickly when it is up. Fire has nothing to burst their target down quickly in a pinch. It is very difficult to kill anything with a healer nearby but 1 v 1 against dps or tank is okay. Fire can whittle down their targets over time because of ignite, but most BGs have healers so it is near impossible to finish off your target. Fire doesn't have a the burst potential like their counterparts. I wish combustion would increase pyro on target by a % for the duration or increase ignite damage on ST. Something needs to help their finishers. So far I feel like frost is in the best spot in PvP with Arcane not far behind. Frost feels right.
I can't believe people complained about a 4 min how to video saying that they had to wait too long to get the chance info lol.... Good video though. Which leads me to my question:I'm currently lvl ing a fire Mage and I'm 105 but I feel like I'm hitting about as hard as a wet noodle compared to other classes in my bg bracket. It's almost bad enough that I am thinking about leaving the Mage and lvling something else. Here's an example: I use combustion and hit someone with 4 fire blasts, 3 Phoenix flames and about 5-6 pyros, I am lucky if I get them to 50% from all that and a meteor... By that point I'm basically dead. Does it get any better at 110? Or is this basically what I have to look forward to?
Noob question: How do you move so well while hitting all those skills? I seem to constrict myself heavily if I use any modifier at all to supplement for my lack of keys.
I dont get it... All you do with the macro is casting Combustion and Living Bomb? And drinking some kind of potion...? So you need to buy potions to perform this magic trick?...
Well that's just your opinion man. I for one like these short informative vids with some pvp montage built in. Much better than listening to someone ramble on for like 15-20 min reading each tooltip, trying to fluff the video length.
I do use Living Bomb, and it can be seen macroed and separately on my keybinds in many clips. @1:50 i say Living Bomb or Unstable Damage to give people options. The clip showcasing talents was recorded during the time I was testing Unstable Magic. Thanks for watching!
Hey, yep that's the artifact ability that will come with the expansion launch. These guides are meant to be up to date for level 110 as well. Basically just follow the rotation & guide, excluding Phoenix Flames, until we get our artifact weapons soon! Thanks for watching! :)
Thumbs up for the effort put into the video. Very nice!
Been having a blast with Fire Mage in Legion (No pun intended:P)
It really fits the fiery, explosive theme of a pyromaniac.
Flame on!

running the same build as on video except for unstable magic - i use living bomb more often.
also thoughts on cinderstorm?
Great video though

1 min 40 seconds to actually get to anything in this video, super obnoxious

Somone told me about a Dragon form mages get for flying. Is that a thing or are they messing with me?
song?
I have a question, why do you have a macro with living bomb but you don't actually use it as a talent?
