    I'm really not a fan of trying to map out which rides I want to ride 2 weeks ahead of time. Its better than trying to wake up at 7am but both systems are too much planning for my blood.

    • @athenagreen5390
      @athenagreen5390 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Waking up isn't the issue if you're already rope dropping. The big issue is that if you're close enough to the front when you tap and fingerprint into the park, you also had to book LL and VQ at that exact moment. Overall this new system is just limiting the amount of LL at Magic and Hollywood, which will make all lines faster for everyone.

      @@athenagreen5390 I don’t think it’s going to limit the number of lightning lanes. There should still be roughly the same number for each attraction per day, they just won’t ever be available for the most popular attraction in each park

      I tend to agree, I actually don't think it's very beneficial to plan your park days out a week ahead of time but it seems many others think differently. It feels like this system is a carrot to get people to buy Genie+/LL and gtd them at least 3 rides. I tend to think people were buying Genie + and not really knowing how to maximize it. At least now people can plan ahead an gtd 3 rides. Gone are the days of stacking LL's for tier 1 rides, that will not be possible here.

I would recommend making a spreadsheet for your TA with your ‘first choices’ for them to boom on your behalf. Problem is…not everyone uses a US TA. I'm going to Disney world in September but live in England UK, I don't drive cause I've got low vision eye sight (partially sighted/blind), I was hoping to buy genie plus (now becoming lightning lane) only if park is busy, I am not an early bird so hoping to buy this on same day but later in day (maybe 10-11am say), will this work in my favor or will I miss out and be no lightning lanes available. From Abi

    So looks like the best strategy is to have an early park opening booking to be able to see if better rides(higher tier) are available for the day you are at the park, as she demonstrates in her example.

    If you don't use your first lightening lane selection and it goes away, can you still book a tier 1 attraction? For example, you want to go to the park later at Epcot, you book figment for 9am, don't head to the park till 11 but you have Remis for 11. Can you book frozen or Soarin around 10ish when figment goes away?

    How does this affect park hopping? Seems to me you’re better off not paying for PH if you could only get later times in your first park. So for people like us we try to do as many rides in first park than do what we can in second park in the late afternoon after a break.

    Thanks for the info…it is very helpful! Question for you: are your selections held for you for a certain amount of time while you finish choosing the 3 multi passes as well as single pass and checking out for the day or can they be booked up while you’re in process of completing the booking? In other words, is there a benefit to checking out multiple times (once for single and once for multi) to avoid losing your selections during the process?

    I have had such great luck with the current system and being able to stack later in the day. This new system makes me worry that in order to ride the same number of rides, we will have to spend an entire day in a park versus our current method of rope dropping, heading back to the hotel for lunch and a nap/pool time, and going back at night for all our stacked attractions 😟
    Going to have to watch your videos when it goes live and make a new strategy before our next trip!

    At this point, the one question I have is if the first three rides have to be in the first park you go to in the day? Mostly because for my upcoming trip, I was thinking of having my three prebooked rides one day being in EPCOT, but actually starting the day by rope dropping Animal Kingdom to do Flight of Passage and maybe a few other rides, before hopping into EPCOT for the others.
